Andhra Pradesh, a state of India, has airports which have access to international flights, domestic and some non-used airstrips for emergency purposes. All the airports in Andhra Pradesh are operated by either Airports Authority of India [1] [2] or Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Ltd. (APADCL). [3]
Andhra Pradesh Airports provides services to tourists and the state population commuting to different parts of the state. Visakhapatnam Airport and Vijayawada Airport are the international airports and get the major attention for commercial reasons. Tirupati Airport is an international airport which serve major pilgrim population.[ clarification needed ] Other airports in the state with domestic flights are located at Kurnool, Kadapa, Puttaparthi, and Rajahmundry, which are in operation. Chittoor is a city and district headquarters in Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is also the mandal and divisional headquarters of Chittoor mandal and Chittoor revenue division respectively. The city has a population of 153,756 and that of the agglomeration is 175,647.
Coastal Andhra or Kosta Andhra is a geographic region in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is the largest city in this region followed by Guntur. The region share borders with Rayalaseema region of the state and Telangana. It was a part of Madras State before 1953 and Andhra State from 1953 to 1956. According to the 2011 census, it has an area of 91,915 square kilometres (35,489 sq mi) which is 57.99% of the total state area and a population of 34,193,868 which is 69.20% of Andhra Pradesh state population. This area includes the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh on the Circar Coast between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal, from the northern border with Odisha to Rayalaseema in the south.
Rayalaseema is a geographic region in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It comprises four southern districts of the State, from prior to the districts reorganisation in 2022, namely Kurnool, Anantapur, YSR, and Chittoor. Four new districts were created from these, namely Sri Sathya Sai, Nandyal, Annamayya, and Tirupati. As of 2011 census of India, the western four districts of the region had a population of 15,184,908 and cover an area of 77,424 km2 (29,894 sq mi).

Tirupati Airport is located in Renigunta. It is also one of the mandals in Tirupati district. It also falls in the jurisdictional limit of Tirupati Urban Development Authority.
Kadapa Airport is a domestic airport serving Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located 12 km (7.5 mi) from the city, and is spread over 669.5 acres (270.9 ha) of land. It has been upgraded at a cost of ₹ 42 crore. The upgraded airport was inaugurated on 7 June 2015 by the then Minister of Civil Aviation, Ashok Gajapathi Raju. The terminal building has a capacity to handle 100 peak hour passengers at a time and the apron can accommodate seven ATR-72 type aircraft.
Rajahmundry Airport is a domestic airport serving the city of Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located at Madhurapudi, 16 km (9.9 mi) north from the city centre, on National Highway 516E. Before modernisation, it was used by Vayudoot. It is heavily used by the helicopters of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and other government agencies for offshore oil exploration operations.
Sri Venkateswara International Airport is an international airport serving Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. It is situated in Renigunta, a suburb of Tirupati. It is 2.8 km (1.7 mi) away from National Highway 71, 16 km (9.9 mi) from Tirupati and 39 km (24 mi) from Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala.
Vijayawada Airport is an international airport serving the Vijayawada and Andhra Pradesh Capital Region, Andhra Pradesh, India. The airport is located at Gannavaram, where National Highway 16 connecting Chennai to Kolkata passes through.
Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, officially Andhra Pradesh Raastra Roadu Ravaana Samstha, is the state-owned road transport corporation in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Its headquarters is located at NTR Administrative Block of RTC House in Pandit Nehru bus station of Vijayawada. Many other Indian metros & towns in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha and Chhattisgarh are also linked with the APSRTC services.
The economy of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh is primarily dependent on agriculture, which directly and indirectly employs 62% of the population. Andhra Pradesh lies between 12°41' and 19.07°N latitude and 77° and 84°40'E longitude, and is bordered by Telangana to the north and west, Chhattisgarh to the north-west, Orissa to the north, the Bay of Bengal to the east, Tamil Nadu to the south and Karnataka to the southwest and west. Andhra Pradesh has a coastline of around 974 km, which gives it the second longest coastline in the nation. Two major rivers, the Godavari and the Krishna run across the state. A small enclave 12 sq mi (30 km²), the Yanam district of Puducherry, lies in the Godavari Delta in the north east of the state. The state includes the eastern part of Deccan plateau as well as a considerable part of the Eastern Ghats.
Andhra Pradesh is well connected with various destinations in India, as well as other countries. It has road, rail, airways. With a long coast of Bay of Bengal and many sea ports, it flourishes in sea trade as well. The state has one of the largest railway junctions at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam Port being one of the largest cargo handling seaport.
Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport is an international airport and a greenfield airport under construction at Bhogapuram in the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region. The airport is operated by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited. The airport is named after Indian Independence revolutionary and freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.
The 20889 / 20890 Howrah–Tirupati Humsafar Express is a completely 3-tier AC sleeper trains of the Indian Railways connecting Howrah in West Bengal and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. It is currently being operated with 20889/20890 train numbers on a weekly basis.
South Coast Railway Zone (SCoR) has been announced as the newest railway zone of the Indian Railways and is headquartered at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The formal notification for operationalization of this Zone is yet to be issued.
