  1. City served The city generally associated with the airport is not always the actual location since some airports are located in smaller towns outside the city they serve.
  2. ICAO The location indicator assigned by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
  3. IATA The airport code assigned by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
  4. Operator Operator of the airport. AAI [2] , MADC [3] , Adani Enterprises [4] , MIDC [5] , HAL and RADL [6] operate airports in Maharashtra.
  5. Role Role of the airport as given by the table below. An airport may play more than one role.

It is also the southern most international/domestic airport in the Indian subcontinent.

Baramati Airport is located in Baramati, Pune district of Maharashtra state in India. This airstrip was constructed by MIDC in 1996, at a distance of 12 km from Baramati city/ Baramati railway station. It is currently being used for general aviation and pilot training.

Ciudad Mante Airfield is a small airstrip located in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico. It handles domestic air traffic and supports flight training and general aviation activities. The airfield does not provide scheduled passenger public services. The nearest airport that serves commercial flights is Tampico International Airport.

Dhule Airport is located at Gondur area in Dhule, Maharashtra, India. This airstrip was constructed in 1974 by the Public Works Department and was transferred to the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) after its formation in 2002. The Bombay Flying Club leased the airstrip from the MADC and shifted its training operations here in 2009 to avoid the congested air-space of Mumbai.

Sindhudurg Airport, also known as Chipi Airport, is a domestic airport serving the city of Sindhudurg, Maharastra, India. It is located at Chipi-Parule in Vengurla taluka, located 21 km (13 mi) from the nearest city of Malvan and 31 km (19 mi) from Sindhudurg. It has scheduled commercial flights to Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Maharashtra is a state in western India. It is the country's second-most-populous state and third-largest state by area. Maharashtra is bordered by the Arabian Sea on the west, Gujarat and the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli on the northwest, Madhya Pradesh on the north and northeast, Chhattisgarh on the east, Karnataka on the south, Telangana on the southeast and Goa on the southwest. The state covers 307,731 km2 (118,816 sq mi), or 9.84 percent of India's total area.
