Tun Hussein bin Dato' Onn was a Malaysian lawyer and politician who served as the third Prime Minister of Malaysia from the death of his predecessor Abdul Razak Hussein in 1976 to his retirement in 1981. Moreover, he was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sri Gading from 1974 to 1981, representing Barisan Nasional (BN) and United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). He was granted the soubriquet Father of Unity.

Tun Musa bin Hitam is a Malaysian retired politician who served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1981 to 1986, serving under Mahathir Mohamad. He was the chairman of Sime Darby Berhad.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali</span> Spouse of Prime Minister of Malaysia

Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah binti Haji Mohamad Ali is married to Mahathir Mohamad, the 4th and 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia and former chancellor of the Multimedia University (MMU). She played the role of Spouse of the Prime Minister of Malaysia from July 1981 to October 2003 and from May 2018 to March 2020 for almost 24 years. She is the oldest-living person of the role.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Endon Mahmood</span> Wife of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (1940-2005)

Tun Endon binti Mahmood Ambak was the first wife of the 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. She died from breast cancer on 20 October 2005.

Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Fong Chan Onn is a Malaysian politician and a former Minister of Human Resources. He is a former vice-president of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a component party of the then-ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He served as a Member of Parliament for Selandar from 1999 to 2004 and Alor Gajah from 2004 until 2013.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohd Ali Rustam</span> Malaysian politician

Mohd. Ali bin Mohd. Rustam is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 7th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka since June 2020. He served as the 9th Chief Minister of Melaka from December 1999 to May 2013, Deputy Minister of Health from November 1996 to December 1999, Deputy Minister of Transport from May 1995 to November 1996, Member of Parliament (MP) for Batu Berendam from April 1995 to November 1999, Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Batu from March 2004 to May 2013, for Paya Rumput from November 1999 to March 2004, for Sungai Udang from October 1990 to April 1995 and for Ayer Molek from August 1986 to October 1990. He was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

Ungku Zeti Akhtar binti Ungku Abdul Aziz was the 7th Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, Malaysia's central bank. She served as Governor from 2000 to 2016, and was the first woman in the position and at 16 years, the longest to hold the position. Zeti was one of the members of the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) in Mahathir's second administration, a special advisory council advising the government on economic and financial matters during this transitional period.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lee Boon Chye</span> Malaysian politician (born 1959)

Lee Boon Chye is a Malaysian politician who served as the Deputy Minister of Health in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and former Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gopeng from March 2008 to November 2022. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the PH coalition.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Noraini Ahmad</span> Malaysian politician

Noraini binti Ahmad is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Nancy Shukri since December 2023, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Parit Sulong since March 2008. She served as the Minister of Higher Education for the second term under the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 to the collapse of BN administration in November 2022, the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to her resignation in August 2021. She is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. She has also served as the 10th Women Chief of UMNO since June 2018 and 2nd Women Youth Chief of UMNO from 2004 to 2009 and 1st Deputy Women Youth Chief from 2001 to her promotion to women youth chief in 2004. She is formerly a Chairperson of the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) from March 2023 to January 2024. She is also the first female PAC chairperson in Malaysian history. Her appointment as a deputy minister in December 2023 is a rare occurrence in Malaysian politics since she was a former federal minister in the Muhyiddin cabinet and Ismail Sabri cabinet. She is one of the three deputy ministers who were previously a federal minister alongside Shamsul Anuar Nasarah and M. Kulasegaran.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohd Khalil Yaakob</span> Former Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of the Malaysian state of Melaka.

Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob is a Malaysian politician who served as the 6th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca from June 2004 to June 2020, 12th Menteri Besar of Pahang from August 1986 to May 1999, Minister of Information in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from December 1999 to March 2004 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kuantan from November 1999 to March 2004. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the ruling BN coalition.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Raja Zarith Sofiah</span> Raja Permaisuri Agong since 2024

Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah is the Queen of Malaysia and the Permaisuri of Johor as a wife of Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar. She was born as a member of the Perak royal family. While still attending Somerville College, Oxford, she married the heir to the throne of Johor. Now a mother of six, she participates in the work of non-governmental organisations and universities, and writes a periodical column for a newspaper.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rahah Noah</span> Malaysian socialite

Tun Hajah Rahah binti Mohamed Noah was the wife of the second Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein (1922–1976) and the mother of sixth Prime Minister Najib Razak. She was the daughter of Mohamed Noah Omar (1898–1991), first Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat and also third President of the Dewan Negara.

Ting Chew Peh is a Malaysian politician from the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was the former member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Gopeng constituency in Perak for five terms from 1987 to 2008. At the grassroots level, he was known for being the MCA former secretary-general for fifteen years from 1990 to 2005.

Musa bin Mohamad was Malaysian politician who was one of the members of the UMNO Supreme Council between 2000 and 2003. He was also the Minister of Education and Vice-Chancellor, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Osman bin Sapian was a Malaysian politician who served as the 16th Menteri Besar of Johor from May 2018 to his resignation in April 2019 and Member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kempas twice from November 1999 to May 2013 and from May 2018 to his death in December 2021. He was a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and formerly Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions. He is also the second shortest-serving Menteri Besar of Johor after Sahruddin Jamal, serving in the position for only 328 days.

Abdul Hamid bin Bador is a Malaysian retired police officer who served as the 12th Inspector-General of Police (IGP) from May 2019 to May 2021. He was the Acting Deputy Inspector-General of Police of Malaysia (DIGP) and Director of the Special Branch (SB) of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Affendi Buang</span> Malaysian general

Affendi bin Haji Buang is a Malaysian Air Force General who served as the 21st Chief of Defence Forces. Prior to his assignment, he previously served as the Chief of Air Force.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Noor Hisham Abdullah</span> Malaysian civil servant and endocrine surgeon

Noor Hisham bin Abdullah is a Malaysian civil servant and endocrine surgeon who served as the Director-General of Health from March 2013 to his retirement in April 2023. Prior to his appointment as the Director-General, he served as the Deputy Director General of Health (Medical) from February 2008 to March 2013.

The Premier and Exalted Order of Malacca is the second-highest state order of Malacca which is conferred by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca. The order was the state's highest order until the establishment of the Premier and Faithful Exalted Order of Malacca by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Mohd Ali Rustam in 2020. The order was constituted in 1978 and amended in 2016. It is conferred in the single grade of Knight Grand Commander (D.U.N.M.).
