Miss World America 2020 was the 12th edition of the Miss World America pageant. it was held virtually due to COVID-19 on October, 2020. Emmy Rose Cuvelier of South Dakota crowned her successor Alissa Anderegg of New York at the end of the event and was originally to represent United States at Miss World 2021. However, Anderegg ended her reign on October 3, 2021, and Shree Saini of Washington who was appointed the role of Miss World America 2021 and competed at Miss World 2021 where she placed as 1st Runner-Up. Miss USA 1991 was the 40th anniversary of the Miss USA pageant, televised live from the Century II Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas on February 22, 1991. At the conclusion of the final competition, Kelli McCarty of Kansas was crowned by outgoing titleholder Carole Gist of Michigan. Kelli became the first titleholder from Kansas and only the 3rd winner to be crowned as Miss USA in her home state.

Miss Teen USA 1985, the 3rd Miss Teen USA pageant, was televised live from the James L. Knight International Center Arena in Miami, Florida on 22 January 1985. At the conclusion of the final competition, Kelly Hu of Hawaii was crowned by outgoing queen Cherise Haugen of Illinois.

The United States has continuously sent a representative to Miss World since its inception in 1951. The United States has won the Miss World crown three times in 1973, 1990 and 2010. Currently, Miss World America is the official national pageant that selects the contestant from the United States to Miss World.

Miss USA 2016 was the 65th Miss USA pageant. It was held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 5, 2016. Terrence J and Julianne Hough all hosted for the first time, while Ashley Graham served as the backstage host. All fifty states and the District of Columbia competed. Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma crowned her successor, Deshauna Barber of the District of Columbia, at the end of the event. Barber became the first African American to win the Miss USA title since Crystle Stewart in 2008, and this was District of Columbia's third title and the first title since 2002. Barber represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, where she placed in the Top 9.

Miss World America 2016 was the 8th edition of the Miss World America pageant held on July 8, 2016 at the National Harbor, Washington, D.C. Victoria Mendoza of Arizona crowned her successor Audra Mari of North Dakota at the end of the event. she represented the United States at the Miss World 2016 pageant on December 20 in Washington, D.C. and placed Top 11.

Miss USA 2019 was the 68th Miss USA pageant. It was held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, on May 2, 2019. Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey served as hosts, while Lu Sierra served as commentator, all for the second consecutive time and was broadcast on Fox. Additionally, it featured performances from T-Pain and Nick Lachey.

Miss Teen USA 2019 was the 37th Miss Teen USA pageant. It was held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada on April 28, 2019, and was hosted by Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez and Tim Tialdo. Hailey Colborn of Kansas crowned her successor Kaliegh Garris of Connecticut at the end of the event. This was the first time in the history of Miss Teen USA won back-to-back titles by African Americans.

Miss World America 2018 was the 10th edition of the Miss World America pageant where Clarissa Bowers of Florida crowned her successor Marisa Butler of Maine at the end of the event, Butler then represented the United States at the Miss World 2018 pageant on December 8th in Sanya, China and placed in the Top 30. This edition of the pageant was different from previous editions because the winner was selected through a video submission contest and audition process as opposed to previous editions where there had been an actual pageant.

Miss World America 2017, also referred to as America's Miss World 2017, was the 9th edition of the Miss World America pageant and it was held in the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida and was won by Clarissa Bowers of Florida. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Audra Mari of North Dakota. Bowers went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 2017 Pageant in Sanya, China later that year. She finished in the Top 40 at Miss World.

Shree Saini is an American model and beauty pageant titleholder of Indian descent. She represented the United States at Miss World 2021, placing 1st runner-up and winning the Beauty with a Purpose National Ambassadorship.

Miss World America 2019 was the 11th edition of the Miss World America pageant and was held on October 12, 2019. 42 contestants from all over the country competed for the crown. Marisa Butler of Maine crowned her successor Emmy Rose Cuvelier of South Dakota at the end of the event, Cuvelier represented the United States at Miss World 2019 in London and placed in the Top 40.

The Miss Washington World competition is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for Washington in the Miss World America pageant.

Miss USA 2021 was the 70th Miss USA pageant, held on November 29, 2021, at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The competition was hosted by Zuri Hall and Patrick Ta, while Nicole Adamo served as a lounge host. Asya Branch of Mississippi crowned her successor Elle Smith of Kentucky at the end of the event. This was Kentucky's first title in 15 years. Smith is the third consecutive African American to win the title, and the fifth one in six years. Smith went on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, placing in the top 10. The scheduling for the succeeding year's pageant that Smith would serve the pageant for ten months and four days as one of the shortest reigning titleholders in the pageant.

Miss World 2021 was the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 16 March 2022. The coronation was originally scheduled to be held on 16 December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum. However, the pageant was rescheduled to 16 March 2022 due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Puerto Rico.

The Miss New York World competition is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for New York State in the Miss World America pageant.

Alissa Anderegg is an American beauty pageant titleholder and national Alzheimer's activist who was crowned as the winner of Miss World America 2020 to represent the United States in Miss World. Anderegg represented New York (state) in the national competition as Miss World New York.
