Navi Mumbai Monorail is a proposed monorail system for the city of Navi Mumbai. [1] [2]

Navi Mumbai, is a planned city off the west coast of the Indian state of Maharashtra in Konkan division. The city is divided into two parts, North Navi Mumbai and South Navi Mumbai, for the individual development of Panvel Mega City, which includes the area from Kharghar to Uran. Navi Mumbai has a population of 1,119,477 as per the 2011 provisional census.

Monorail single-rail based transportation system

Mumbai Metro Metro railways in Mumbai, India

The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the wider metropolitan region. The system is designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city, and supplement the overcrowded Mumbai Suburban Railway network. It is being built in three phases over a 15-year period, with overall completion expected in 2025. When completed, the core system will comprise eight high-capacity metro railway lines, spanning a total of 235 kilometres (146 mi), and serviced by 200 stations.

New Panvel Node in Maharashtra, India

New Panvel is a residential, commercial and educational node of Navi Mumbai in city of Panvel, Maharashtra and comes under the Konkan division. New Panvel was developed on marshy land and was previously a Mango cultivated area. New Panvel is divided into two parts: New Panvel (E), on the eastern side of Panvel railway station and Khanda Colony or New Panvel (W) on the western side of it. Both parts of New Panvel are connected by a flyover bridge also known as Khanda Colony Flyover. New Panvel (W) is also popularly called Khanda Colony by the local villagers, as the city is adjacent to two small villages Dhakta Khanda and Motha Khanda.

The Harbour line is a branch line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway operated by Central Railways. It was named so because it catered to the eastern neighbourhoods along the city's natural harbour. Its termini are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Andheri and Panvel on the CST-Andheri, CST-Panvel and Panvel-Andheri routes. The first section of the line, between Kurla and Reay Road, opened on 12 December 1910. In 1925, the line was connected to the then Victoria Terminus via an elevated rail corridor between Dockyard Road and Sandhurst Road. Suburban services to Mankhurd began in 1951. The line was later extended from Mankhurd to serve most of Navi Mumbai via the Mankhurd–Belapur–Panvel rail corridor in the 1990s. The stations in Navi Mumbai are well maintained and beautifully designed by CIDCO They have good facilities and are kept clean, better than other Mumbai stations. There are IT offices above the stations. The Railbridge connecting Vashi and Mankhurd railway stations running over Thane creek, parallel to road bridge has brought Navi Mumbai closer to Mumbai, boosting development of the region

Kharghar Node of Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra, India

Kharghar is a smart city of the node of Mumbai metropolis situated at the Northern most tip of Raigad district. It was developed by the City and Industrial Development Corporation i.e. CIDCO. Kharghar is located on the Sion Panvel Highway at one and half hour (approx.) drive during peak traffic hours from the heart of Mumbai city.

Khandeshwar is one of the recently developed nodes of Navi Mumbai, and is also a railway station on the harbour line of the Mumbai suburban railway network. Government is making the second International Airport in Mumbai and first in New Mumbai and trying to connect this airport to cst Airport that is T2 terminal by metro.

The '"Dronagiri"' is a node of Navi Mumbai in Raigad district. It is located at Southern tip of Navi-Mumbai metropolis and spread over 1,250 hectres of land. The zone is located to the east of Uran town, and is bound by the Karanja River on the south-east. Residential areas are located to the west and north-west of the zone, while the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) area and township are located towards the north of the zone. The zone is adjacent to the JNPT port, and is located farthest from the central business districts of Belapur, Nerul and Vashi. Due to its proximity to the port, this zone is ideal for port-based industries.

Navi Mumbai International Airport proposed airport in Navi Mumbai, India

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is an under construction greenfield international airport being built at Ulwe Kopar-Panvel in Maharashtra, India. It will be the second international airport for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, functioning alongside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSIA) as India's first urban multi-airport system. The first phase of the airport will be able to handle 10 million passengers per annum. The airport will be expanded to full capacity and will be equipped to handle more than 60 million passengers per annum. The airport passenger terminal and Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower is designed by London-based Zaha Hadid Architects.

Kalamboli Node in Maharashtra, India

Kalamboli is one of the nodes of Navi Mumbai. It is a transportation hub, being situated at the junction of the Sion-Panvel Highway, NH 4, Panvel By-Pass, NH 17 and Mumbai-Pune Expressway and is among the biggest iron and steel delivery centers in India. The township, like the rest of Navi Mumbai, is divided into sectors, which are further divided into plots. The residential and commercial areas of Kalamboli are divided by the NH 4 highway. Roadpali, a village to the north of Kalamboli, is developing at a faster rate than the latter with many residential projects coming up due to availability of land. Roadpali is located along the Taloja Link Road. Kalamboli also houses the Navi Mumbai Police Headquarters. CIDCO is the nodal administrative body for Kalamboli node. Kalamboli also has a Sewage Water Treatment Plant owned by CIDCO. Kalamboli is now governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation. The terminal of Mumbai-Pune Expressway is at Kalamboli. It also has Navi Mumbai's largest marble market alongside the Sion Panvel Highway.

Sion Panvel Highway

The Sion Panvel Expressway is a 25 km Indian highway located entirely in the state of Maharashtra, that connects Sion in Mumbai with Panvel, via Navi Mumbai. It is one of the busiest and most important roads in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), and connects Mumbai with the city of Pune. The National Highway 4 and Mumbai Pune Expressway begin at the eastern end of the expressway, at Kalamboli junction, near Panvel. The highway is also used by vehicles traveling towards Mumbai from Konkan and Goa.

Navade Road railway station

Navade Road is a railway station on the Vasai Road - Diva - Panvel route of the Central Line, of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Navade node is a small node developed by Cidco with single point access to the node. It is like a small township with 165 plots and approx 30-40 buildings. Construction in this area is in developing stage and good properties are available. It has got good transportation facility from panvel via six seater rickshaw and 87,78 no. NMMT bus, KDMT bus no.20 and from belapur NMMT bus no. 71 and 72.There is also an auto rickhaw stand in Navade.It has close proximity to Kharghar node of Cidco with Navade village falling in Kharghar sec 45. Also close proximity to Kalamboli. D Mart is 1 km away from Navade node. Navi Mumbai metro line 1 phase 2 will be passing through Navade road and shall have interconnection with Navade railway station. Panvel-Virar local train which is approved from the government and the work is expected to start soon. Navade colony is on NH4 highway and connects to Sion Panvel expressway via Taloja link road.Usually there is heavy traffic of trailers and trucks due to nearby MIDC area, but once the NH4 road widening is completed and proposed service roads are constructed, much lighter traffic is expected. There is also smell problem from nearby Taloja MIDC for which Navade and Kharghar/Kalamboli residents are fighting. Nearby Kasadi river is passing through Navade node but this river has contaminated water and the aqua life is totally dead due to careless attitude of the factories in Taloja MIDC. Recently Cidco had started to construct a holding pond in Navade but left it half done after some works. The internal roads have been in too poor state waiting for the awarded contractor to start construction work. Unlike other Cidco nodes, Navade doesn't have any plot reserved for Garden and the plots reserved for Police station,market, temple and post office is not at all developed from Cidco. Heavy vehicles and trailers are parked illegally at the internal roadside for which government should take action to avoid inconvenience to Navade residences.

Khandeshwar railway station

Khandeshwar is a railway station on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. In 2014, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) announced that it would set up an Inter State Bus Terminal on private-public participation at Khandeshwar Station. Khandeshwar railway station caters to New Panvel West but is built away from the city, while it is strategically near to Kamothe. The station derives its name from the Khandeshwar Mahadev Mandir and Khandeshwar Lake and Park. As Khandeshwar Railway station adjoins the nearer Kamothe node the people from Kamothe prefer Khandeshwar station over Manasarowar railway station which is cornered in the Jui pVillage.

Rapid Metro Gurgaon rapid transit system serving Gurgaon in the National Capital Region of India

Gurugram Rapid Metro is a metro system serving the city of Gurugram, Haryana, India. The system provides interchange with the Delhi Metro's Yellow Line at Sikandarpur Metro Station. Rapid Metro has a total length of 11.7 kilometres serving 11 stations. The system is fully elevated using standard-gauge tracks. Rapid Metro connects the commercial areas of Gurgaon, and acts as a feeder link to the Delhi Metro.
