The Uttarakhand State Election Commission [1] is an autonomous, independent, constitutional and statutory authority of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It was formed on 30 July 2001 under the Constitution of India through the provisions of the 73rd and 74th Amendments Act of 1992.

Elections in Kerala are regularly held to appoint government officials at various levels, both within the state of Kerala and in India as a whole. These elections encompass national elections as well as regional elections for local bodies and panchayats.
A sarpanch, gram pradhan, mukhiya, or president is a decision-maker, elected by the village-level constitutional body of local self-government called the gram sabha in India. The sarpanch, together with other elected panchayat members, constitute gram panchayats and zilla panchayats. The sarpanch is the focal point of contact between government officers and the village community and retains power for five years. the term used to refer to the sarpanch can vary across different states of India. Here are some of the commonly used terms for sarpanch in various states: panchayat president, gram pramukh, gram pradhan, gram adhyaksha, gaon panchayat president, gram panchayat president, etc.
Local government. in Maharashtra State follows the general structure of Local Governance in India and is broadly classified into two categories: Urban Local Governance and Rural Local Governance.
Mahé municipality is the seat of local administration of the Mahé Region which belongs to the Union Territory of Puducherry. Mahé Municipality has been in existence for more than 200 years since its establishment under the French Regime. Mahé Municipal area comprises 9 km2 with a single Assembly Constituency. The last Mayor and the first Chairman of this municipality was Late. V. N. Purushothaman. Municipal Council was not in existence with effect from 1978. Thereafter the Regional Administrator, Mahé / Regional Executive Officer, Mahé used to exercise the power of the chairman and Vice-chairman in the capacity of special officer of Mahé Municipal Council. After 1978, an elected Municipal Council was only in power during 2006–11.

The Thodupuzha Block Panchayat is a local governing body in Kerala, India, operating under the Idukki District Panchayath. It was established in 1995 in accordance with the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act of 1994. Its members are elected by representatives from 13 electoral division. The State Election Commission is responsible for conducting the elections.
Elections to local bodies in Andhra Pradesh are being held in four phases in rural areas (panchayats) in February 2021 viz. 9 February 2021, 13 February 2021, 17 February 2021 and 21 February 2021 covering 13 districts. In the first phase, 29,732 polling stations were set up.

Kerala State Election Commissioner is appointed by Governor of Kerala.
Mizoram State Election Commission is an autonomous and statutory body constituted in Indian state of Mizoram for ensuring that elections in are conducted in free, fair and unbiased way. Constitution of India with provisions as per Article 243K and 243 ZA and Article 324 ensures creation and safeguarding of the powers of State Election Commissions. Mizoram State Election Commission is responsible for conducting elections for Urban Local Bodies like Municipalities, Municipal Corporations, Panchayats, Autonomous District Councils and Sinlung Hills Development Council. Mizoram State Election Commissioner is appointed by Governor of Mizoram.
Local Body Elections (India) are elections conducted to elect local body representatives in India as per the provisions of 73rd amendment of Constitution of India in states and union territories of the country. State Election commissions conducts these elections as per the procedures laid down in State laws. With one of the largest democracies, India has 3.1 million elected representatives out of which 1.3 million representatives are women in 2,50,000 government bodies.
