The Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand is the senior-most civil servant in Uttarakhand. The secretary acts as the ex-officio Secretary to the Uttarakhand Council of Ministers, therefore is also known as Secretary to the Cabinet. The Chief secretary is the Head of the Uttarakhand Cabinet Secretariat Department. The functions include providing secretarial assistance to the cabinet, ensuring the implementation of decisions, acting as the policy coordination centre, serving as a data bank of information, organizing conferences. The Chief Secretary is an officer of Indian Administrative Service and is a member of the executive branch of the Government of Uttarakhand. The Chief Secretary ranks 23rd on the Indian order of precedence. [1]

Radha Raturi [2] [3] is the incumbent and first female Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand since 1 February 2024.

The chief executive officer responsible for issuing orders on behalf of government is Chief Secretary to the state government. The current Chief Secretary is Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sindhu who took charge from outgoing Om Prakash.

Sanjiv Chaturvedi is an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer posted as Chief Conservator of Forest (Research) at Haldwani in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Chaturvedi was a Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at AIIMS, New Delhi from 2012 to 2014, and served in the government of Haryana from 2005 to 2012.

Prakash Pant was a Bharatiya Janata Party leader and member of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in India. He was elected from Pithoragarh in the 2002 to 2007 but in 2012 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election, he lost to Mayukh Mahar of Indian National Congress. He was the first speaker of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. The Personnel Secretary, popularly called as Secretary (P), is the administrative head of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. This post is held by senior IAS officer of the rank of Secretary to Government of India. The current Personnel Secretary is S. Radha Chauhan, a 1988 batch IAS officer of UP cadre.

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) is the company responsible for electricity transmission and distribution within the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The incumbent chairman is Smt. Radha Raturi. As the sole distributor of power in Uttarakhand, it manages Uttarakhand's 2600 MW daily demand.

The Uttarakhand Fire and Emergency Services is the public service department of the Government of Uttarakhand whose function is to firefighting and emergency services in Uttarakhand. It is responsible for the provision of fire protection and life safety as well as responding to building collapses, drownings, gas leakage, oil spillage, road and rail accidents, bird and animal rescues, fallen trees and taking appropriate action during natural disasters. The department has now 48 fire stations consisting of nearly 1400 executive personnel and nearly 98 ministerial staff. The headquarters the department is situated at Dehradun.
