The 1982 Missouri State Auditor election was held on 2 November 1982 in order to elect the state auditor of Missouri. Republican nominee and incumbent state auditor James Antonio defeated Democratic nominee James R. Butler. [1]
On election day, 2 November 1982, Republican nominee James Antonio won re-election by a margin of 191,169 votes against his opponent Democratic nominee James R. Butler, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of state auditor. Antonio was sworn in for his second term on 11 January 1983. [2]

Peter C. Schwartzkopf is an American politician and former Speaker of the Delaware House of Representatives. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented the 14th district from 2002 to 2024. His district covers Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and Dewey Beach in Sussex County. Prior to his election to the House, he was a state police officer.
The 2020 Missouri gubernatorial election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the governor of Missouri, concurrently with the 2020 U.S. presidential election, as well as elections to the United States Senate, elections to the United States House of Representatives, and various state and local elections. Incumbent Republican governor Mike Parson ran for and was elected to a full term in office. Parson was elected as lieutenant governor in 2016 but became governor on June 1, 2018, after incumbent Eric Greitens resigned under threat of impeachment by the state legislature. Parson declared his bid for a full term on September 8, 2019. State Auditor Nicole Galloway, Missouri's only Democratic statewide officer and only female statewide officer, was the Democratic nominee and if elected, would have become Missouri's first female governor.
