Malone was ranked by Billboard as the tenth top artist of the 2010s. Following the release of August 26 (2016), Malone's debut studio album, Stoney (2016), had reached at number 4 on the US Billboard 200. Stoney is the debut studio album by the American singer Post Malone. It was released by Republic Records on December 9, 2016. After rising to prominence with his debut single "White Iverson" in 2015, Malone signed to Republic and began working on his debut album. Following the success of "White Iverson", he was accused of appropriating African-American culture and had been called a "culture vulture" by people online. During May 2016, he released his debut mixtape August 26th, which was titled after the original planned release date of Stoney. It was then delayed, which he has since apologized for. He had a goal to create a unique sound in hip-hop, as he found much of the music in the genre was "hackneyed" and "trite". He incorporated his guitar-playing and influences from rock music to make a "really fresh" sound.

Ordinary Man is the twelfth studio album by English heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. The album features guest appearances from Elton John, Post Malone and Travis Scott. It was released on 21 February 2020 through Epic Records. It was produced by Andrew Watt and Louis Bell. The album marks the first time that Osbourne collaborated with Watt and Bell. It also marks the longest gap between two albums from Osbourne to date, spanning almost ten years since Scream. The first single of the album, "Under the Graveyard", was released on 8 November 2019. The second single, "Straight to Hell", was released on 22 November 2019. The third single and title track featuring singer Elton John was released on 10 January 2020. The fourth single "It's a Raid" featuring Post Malone was released on 20 February 2020, a day before the release of the album.
