Bigyromonada is a recently proposed non-photosynthetic subphylum of stramenopiles that at present contains two classes ^{[2] [3] [4]} and with uncertain monophyly. ^{[2] [5] [6] [7] [8]}

Description

Bigyromonads are characterized by biciliate cells that feed on bacteria through phagotrophy. They are marine organisms. ^[2]
