Harlesden station features in the North and West London Light Railway proposal which has been promoted by the Campaign for Better Transport. A new light rail station is suggested for the other side of the road, between the two Craven Park road bridges. [5]

In 2014 plans by Boris Johnson for an orbital railway around London were released with a stop at Harlesden using the old Dudding Hill Line to link up with Cricklewood and would stop at Harlesden. [6]

Stonebridge is a locality in the London Borough of Brent that forms the western part of Harlesden in Northwest London, England. The A404 runs through the district known locally as Brentfield and Hillside, while to the south are railway tracks and to the west is the North Circular Road along with Stonebridge Park station. The area is known for the previously troubled 1960s Stonebridge housing estate, which was completely redeveloped in the 2000s.
The Dudding Hill Line is a railway line in west and north-west London running from Acton to Cricklewood. It is roughly 4 miles (6.4 km) long, with a 30 miles per hour (48 km/h) speed limit, and semaphore signalling. The line has no scheduled passenger service, no stations, and is not electrified. It is lightly used by freight trains and, very occasionally, passenger charter trains.

The West London Orbital is a proposed extension to the London Overground railway system in London, UK. The extension would make use of a combination of existing freight and passenger lines including the Dudding Hill Line, North London Line and Hounslow Loop. The route would run for approximately 11 miles (17 km) from West Hampstead and Hendon at the northern end to Hounslow at the western end via Brent Cross West, Neasden, Harlesden, Old Oak Common, South Acton and Brentford.
Kew railway station was opened by the North and South Western Junction Railway in 1853 in Brentford in west London on the western curve of the Kew triangle.
