Church Mountain, also called Slieve Gad, is the westernmost of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. It is 544 metres (1,785 ft) high. At the summit are the remains of a large ancient cairn of pagan origin. This cairn was partially destroyed and a small building, apparently a church, was built on it in the Middle Ages. Pilgrims formerly climbed the mountain during the festival of Lughnasa to visit a holy well on the summit.

The Jay Mountain Wilderness Area, an Adirondack Park unit of the Forest Preserve, lies within the towns of Jay and Lewis in Essex County, New York. It is bounded by Glen Road on the south and private land boundaries elsewhere, except where the road west of Mt. Fay divides an appendage of state lands.

Tverrbottindene is a mountain ridge with a number of high peaks in Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The 2,162-metre-tall (7,093 ft) mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains within Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about 34 kilometres (21 mi) southwest of the village of Fossbergom and about 37 kilometres (23 mi) northeast of the village of Øvre Årdal. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Tverrbytthornet to the southeast, Kyrkja to the south, Stehøi and Stetinden to the southwest, Smørstabbtindene to the west, and Store Bukkeholstinden.

Veotinden is a mountain on the border of Vågå Municipality and Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The 2,267-metre (7,438 ft) tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains within Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of the village of Fossbergom and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) southwest of the village of Vågåmo. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Styggehøbretindan and Styggehøi to the east; Blåbreahøe to the southeast; Memurutindene to the southwest; Veobreahesten, Veobretinden, and Leirhøi to the northwest; and Veopallan to the north.

Hardscrabble Mountain is a summit located in Custer County, Colorado with an elevation of 3,171 metres (10,404 ft). It is one of the peaks in Wet Mountains, a sub-range of the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains. A local legend is that the mountain was named after an event from Christmas Day 1855. Ute Native Americans attacked settlers in Pueblo, after which soldiers pursued the Utes. They ran up the creek and had a “hard scrabble” to avoid being captured.

Sierra Pandura, also known as Cuchilla de Pandura and La Pica, is a mountain range that runs from the Sierra de Cayey in the northwest to the Caribbean Sea in the southeast in southeastern Puerto Rico, between the municipalities of Maunabo and Yabucoa. Together with the Sierra de Guardarraya to the south, Sierra Pandura is part of the San Lorinzo batholith physiological region, a composite body of volcanic origin which bifurcates the mountain ridge.
