Mokokchung is a municipality in the Mokokchung District of the Indian state of Nagaland. It serves as the district headquarters as well as the main urban hub of Mokokchung District. Mokokchung is the cultural nerve centre of the Ao people and is economically and politically the most important urban centre in northern Nagaland. The town is made up of 16 wards of which Kumlong, Sangtemla, Alempang and Yimyu are the largest.

Chümoukedima, formerly spelled Chumukedima, is a municipality in the Chümoukedima District of the Indian state of Nagaland. It is situated on the left bank of the Chathe and with its surrounding area that includes several other towns and villages, the Chümoukedima Metropolitan Area is the largest urban agglomeration in Nagaland in terms of area and third largest in terms of population, after Dimapur and Kohima.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research</span> Group of science education and research institutes in India

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) are a group of prestigious autonomous institutions for teaching and research in natural science established by the Government of India through the Ministry of Education to provide collegiate education in Basic Sciences integrated with research at the undergraduate level. The institutes were formally established by the Parliament of India through the Science Education and Research (Amendment) Act, 2010. Seven IISERs have been established across the country, namely IISER Pune in Maharashtra, IISER Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, IISER Mohali in Punjab, IISER Kolkata in West Bengal, IISER Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, IISER Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, and IISER Berhampur in Odisha. All IISERs were declared as Institutes of National Importance by the Parliament of India in 2012, to promote them as leading institutions in the country in the field of basic sciences along with its sister institutes like Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The financial outlay for each IISER is around 5 billion (US$63 million) for the first five years of establishment.

Patkai Christian College is a college of higher education in Chümoukedima–Seithekema, Nagaland. It is rated highest by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in the state of Nagaland, out of 11 colleges recognised by the University Grants Commission of India. It is rated with A grade for three consecutive assessments by NAAC and also with a status of CPE.

Pfütsero is a town located in the Phek District of the Indian state of Nagaland. It is the highest-altitude town and the coldest inhabited place in Nagaland with temperatures occasionally dropping below 0 °C during winter nights. It is headed by an ADC and is inhabited mostly by Khezhas and Chokris. It is a commercially important town as it is located in the middle of Phek District.

Little Flower Higher Secondary School is an all-girls Catholic school in Kohima in the Indian state of Nagaland providing both High school and Higher secondary school education. It was established in 1964 by the Salesian Sisters of Northeast India and is the only all-girls school in Nagaland.
