Dharwad city is one of the most important cities in terms of education in the state of Karnataka. A large number of students from different parts of India and a few hundred students from foreign countries live and study here. Dharwad is known as the education hub of Karnataka. [1]
Hubli is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. The twin cities Hubli–Dharwad form the second largest city in the state by area and population and the largest city in North Karnataka. Hubli is in Dharwad district of Karnataka and is the taluk headquarters of Hubli City and Hubli Rural. Although it hosts the HDMC office, the district headquarters is in Dharwad.
Dharwad, also known as Dharwar, is a city located in the northwestern part of the Indian state of Karnataka. Karnatak University was established at Dharwad in the Indian state of Karnataka in October 1949. It had its official inauguration in March 1950. The campus spans 888 acres (3.59 km2). Dr. D. C. Pavate was the vice-chancellor from 1954 to 1967. The rapid development of the institution is credited to him.

P. C. Jabin Science College is a science college in Hubballi, India run by the KLE Society, Belagavi. It is located in Vidyanagar, Hubballi, next to the KLE Technological University, Hubballi. The college is named after its principal donor Parappa Channappa Jabin of Hubballi. It is recognised under 2F and 12B of the UGC Act, June 1966. The college was reaccredited by NAAC and the UGC awarded the status of "College with Potential for excellence" in 2006. UGC has granted autonomous status to the college.
Hubli and Dharwad are twin cities in the Indian state of Karnataka. Karnataka Lingayat Education Society was founded by "Seven Dedicated Teachers or Saptharishis" in 1916 headquartered at Belagavi, KLE Society runs over 250 educational institutions in Karnataka and Maharashtra. On 13 November 1916, KLE Society started an Anglo Vernacular School in Belagavi. Lingaraj College came into existence in June 1933. In 1947, B.V. Today under the leadership of Prabhakar Kore, the KLE Society runs 256 institutions.
Prabhakar Kore is an Indian politician and former three term member of Rajya Sabha from Karnataka. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the Chairman of the Karnatak Lingayat Education Society, Belagavi which runs over 308 institutions that provide education and healthcare in Karnataka and Maharashtra, India. He is also the Chancellor of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), Belagavi and KLE Technological University, Hubballi.
Karnataka College of Arts and Science, Dharwad (1917) is one of the leading institutions in Karnataka, India offering B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc degrees. KCD is the oldest college affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad.

Vidyagiri is a small locality located in the eastern part of Dharwad city in India. Vidyagiri is known for its educational institutions located on the top of its hill. It is home to Janata Shikshan Samithi (JSS) campus of chain of educational centers, schools & colleges.
