OEUK is a trade association for the United Kingdom offshore energies industry. [1] The current Chief Executive is Deirdre Michie O.B.E.

History

OEUK is a not-for-profit organisation, established in April 2007 on the foundations of the UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA). [2] The association is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry that stretches back over 30 years. Its membership is open to all companies active in the area; these include businesses such as super majors to large contractor businesses and from independent oil companies to SMEs working in the supply chain. [3]

Function

OEUK is a trade association for the whole sector. It is a source of information for the UK Upstream and a gateway to industry networks and expertise. [4]

The association is situated in Portland House on the corner of Bressenden Place and Victoria Street in the City of Westminster. It also has an office on Market Street in Aberdeen near the train station, in the town where the UKOOA was based. [5]

Carbon Trust UK non-profit climate change consultancy

The Carbon Trust was developed and launched during first Blair Administration (1997-2001) as part of the development of the Climate Change Levy (CCL), a tax on business energy use that still operates today. Scotland’s imports meanwhile totalled £94.4 billion including intra-UK trade leaving Scotland with a trade deficit of £10.4 billion in 2017.

The oil and gas industry plays a central role in the economy of the United Kingdom. Oil and gas account for more than three-quarters of the UK's total primary energy needs. Oil provides 97 per cent of the fuel for transport, and gas is a key fuel for heating and electricity generation. Transport, heating and electricity each account for about one-third of the UK's primary energy needs. Naftiran Intertrade Company limited (NICO) is a Swiss-based subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). NICO is a general contractor for the oil and gas industry. NIOC buys the vast majority of Iran's gasoline imports. NICO is a key player in Iran's energy sector.

Noordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen

The NHV Group, is an operator of civilian helicopters based in Ostend, Belgium. NHV Group is specialized in business-to-business helicopter services, both offshore & onshore. Today, NHV Group states to be the only helicopter service provider with presence in all Oil and Gas producing countries in the North Sea region and notes a strong presence in West Africa.

The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), known as the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) until March 2022, is a private company limited by shares wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. It is responsible for maximising the economic recovery of oil from the North Sea. It is empowered to licence and regulate activity in relation to oil and gas in the United Kingdom, including oil and gas exploration, carbon capture and storage, and offshore gas storage.
