Elton is a rural municipality in the Canadian province of Manitoba, located to the north of the city of Brandon. The community was incorporated in 1883, and its first officials took office the following year.
Its population in 2001 was 1,321. [2]
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Elton had a population of 1,276 living in 468 of its 503 total private dwellings, a change of 0.2% from its 2016 population of 1,273. With a land area of 576.14 km2 (222.45 sq mi), it had a population density of 2.2/km2 (5.7/sq mi) in 2021. [1]
St. Clements is a rural municipality (RM) in Manitoba, Canada. It is located to the north-east of Winnipeg, stretching from East St. Paul and Birds Hill Provincial Park in the south to Lake Winnipeg and Grand Beach Provincial Park to the north. The Red River demarcates the western boundary of the municipality. St. Clements contains the communities of East Selkirk, and Lockport east of the Red River. It almost completely surrounds the Brokenhead 4 Indian reserve, with the exception of a small lakefront on Lake Winnipeg.

In the past, there has been friction between the community and the farming base that make up much of Cornwallis.

The Rural Municipality of Oakview is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Manitoba, incorporated on January 1, 2015 as a result of the amalgamation of the rural municipalities of Blanshard, Saskatchewan, and the town of Rapid City. It was formed as a requirement of The Municipal Amalgamations Act, which required that municipalities with a population less than 1,000 amalgamate with one or more neighbouring municipalities by 2015. The Government of Manitoba initiated these amalgamations in order for municipalities to meet the 1997 minimum population requirement of 1,000 to incorporate a municipality.
