Viva One (formerly Viva Prime) is a Philippine subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service owned and operated by Viva Communications, that was launched on January 29, 2023. It is the second video on demand streaming service of the company after VMX.

History

On January 29, 2023, the second anniversary of Vivamax, the company launched its second streaming platform, the Viva Prime, which became accessible on the Vivamax app, offering a mix of local and international content. Viva rebranded the Viva Prime in February 2023, marking a shift, with the company launching a separate app called Viva One. [2] [3] [4]

Content

Viva One has several unique contents created under the dubbed Viva One Originals. These are made as one of the shows to be able to cater to different tastes, interests, and age groups through the form of dramas, documentaries, and reality shows. This way, the network will be able to reach a wider viewership, which offers something to everyone. [5]

Viva One is available for streaming via web browsers on Windows, macOS and Linux, as well as apps on iOS and Apple TV, Android and Android TV, Chromecast and ChromeOS devices. [6] [7]

Kumu is a Filipino video sharing and e-commerce social networking service owned and developed by Kumumedia Technologies, Inc. The social media platform is used to livestream curated programs created by app users and partner brands and as an e-commerce platform for app users and partner brands who want to sell their merchandise online. It was founded in 2017 and launched on Android and iOS devices in February 2018. Kumu caters mainly to the Philippine market and the Filipino diaspora. In October 2020, the app topped the download charts of both the Apple App Store and Google Play in the free apps category. The app aims to become a "super app" that combines the functionalities of other apps like YouTube, TikTok, Shopee, Instagram and Facebook Messenger into one. About a woman (Khang) who is regularly abused by her alcoholic husband (Lucero) and seeks to escape with her new neighbor and lover (Gumabao), the film was produced by Viva Films and released on the streaming platform Vivamax on January 28, 2022.

VMX is a Philippine subscription video on demand over-the-top streaming service owned and operated by Viva Communications. Starting as Vivamax in 2021, the service was rebranded as VMX in October 2024. It is the largest and top online streaming service in the Philippines.
