The 10th NACAC U18 and U23 Championships in Athletics were held in Queretaro, Mexico from July 5–7, 2019. [1] [2] [3] It was the first time that an U18 competition was added to the event alongside the U23 category.
The championship primarily revolved around track and field, and featured competitions across multiple events including sprint races, hurdles, steeplechase, relays, high jump, pole vault, shot put, javelin throws, and more. [4]
Across events, the top three nations were Mexico, Jamaica, and Canada.

The 2007 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships was a regional track and field competition held at the Flor Blanca National Stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador, from July 13–15, 2007. It was the inaugural edition of a senior track and field championship for the NACAC region. A total of forty-three events were contested, 22 by male and 21 by female athletes.
The 2011 NACAC Cross Country Championships was the seventh edition of the continental cross country running competition which took place on February 19 at Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. A total of 166 athletes took part in the event, hailing from a record high of 20 nations within the North America, Central America and Caribbean region.
The NACAC U23 Championships in Athletics is an under-23 athletics competition held between the member associations of the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC). Rules and regulations were approved at an extraordinary meeting of the members attending the XVIII Central American and Caribbean Games in Maracaibo, Venezuela held on August 18, 1998. First, the competition was open for athletes aged under-25. The Congress held on the island of Grenada on July 3, 2003, resulted in the reduction of the age limit for its bi-annual championships to athletes under-23 years of age in the year of competition.
The 1st NACAC Under-25 Championships in Athletics were held in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico on August 3–5, 2000. This year and in 2002 the event was open for athletes younger than 25 years.
The 3rd NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, on July 30-August 1, 2004. For the first time the event was open for athletes younger than 23 years rather than 25 years. A detailed report on the results was given.
The 4th NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on July 7–9, 2006. A detailed report on the results was given.
The 5th NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held in Toluca, Mexico, at the Alberto "Chivo" Córdova Stadium at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México on July 18–20, 2008. A detailed report on the results was given.
The 6th NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held in Miramar, Florida, United States, at the Ansin Sports Complex on July 9–11, 2010. A detailed report on the results was given.
The 2012 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held at the Centro Paralímpico Nacional in Irapuato, Mexico from 6 to 8 July. It was the seventh edition of the biennial athletics competition for NACAC area athletes under 23 years of age. A total of 44 track and field events were contested, divided evenly between the sexes. It was the third time that Mexico had hosted the event, having done so in 2000 and 2008.
The 8th NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held at the Hillside Stadium in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada from August 8–10, 2014. A total of 44 track and field events were contested, divided evenly between the sexes.
The 2015 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships was a regional track and field competition held at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica from August 7–9, 2015. It was the second edition of a senior track and field championship for the NACAC region, held eight years after the first.
The 9th NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held at Jorge "El Magico" Gonzalez National Stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador from July 15–17, 2016.
The 2018 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships was a regional track and field competition held at Varsity Stadium in Toronto, Canada, from August 10–12, 2018. It was the third edition of a senior track and field championship for the NACAC region, held three years after the 2015 NACAC Championships. The winner of each event qualified for the 2019 Pan American Games competition, which was held in Lima, Peru.
The NACAC U18 Championships in Athletics is an bi-annual championships to athletes under-18 years of age in the year of competition held between the member associations of the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC). The inaugural edition took place in 2019 in Queretaro, Mexico.

Roje Stona is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes in the discus throw. He broke the Olympic record to win the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, thus becoming the first Jamaican to be Olympic Champion at a throwing event.
