West Freehold is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) within Freehold Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 13,613. Due to the community's close proximity to the Battle of Monmouth, West Freehold is home to several important historical structures, which have been preserved in the 'West Freehold Village Historic District'. The historically preserved Monmouth Battlefield, along with the historic villages of Clarksburg, Englishtown, Smithburg and Tennent are a short distance away.

In New Jersey, the route runs 166.80 miles (268.44 km) from the Cape May–Lewes Ferry terminal in North Cape May, Cape May County, where the ferry carries US 9 across the Delaware Bay to Lewes, Delaware, north to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, Bergen County, where the route along with Interstate 95 (I-95) and US 1 continue into New York City. Penns Neck is an unincorporated community located within West Windsor Township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community developed at the intersection of the Trenton-New Brunswick Turnpike and Washington Road. The Penns Neck Circle and the historic Penns Neck Baptist Church (1812) are both located in Penns Neck. The Princeton Branch rail line, known as the Dinky, has run through the area since 1865, and stopped at Penns Neck station until January 1971.
Cranbury Station is an unincorporated community located within Cranbury Township in Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area immediately around the site of the former railroad station along the Camden and Amboy Railroad contains agricultural businesses and small homes. Hightstown-Cranbury Station Road is the main road through the settlement paralleling the railroad and Station Road as a major road heading east and west through the area. Modern warehouses line Station Road and the nearby New Jersey Turnpike west of the station while large housing developments are located east of here in Monroe Township.
Sandy Ridge is an unincorporated community located within Delaware Township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As its name implies, the community is located at the top of a small hill that is sandwiched between the Hunterdon Plateau and the Sourland Mountains. Sandy Ridge Road is the main road east and west through the community while County Route 605 is a minor arterial road that passes north and south through the area. CR 605 enters from the south on Sandy Ridge-Mt. Airy Road, jogs to the west on Sandy Ridge Road for 0.04 miles (64 m), and exits to the north on Cemetery Road towards CR 523. The area consists of mainly residences with some farmland and forestland. The Sandy Ridge Church is a Baptist church founded in 1818 with its current building constructed in 1866 and is located in the center of Sandy Ridge.
Little Rocky Hill is an unincorporated community located within South Brunswick in Middlesex County and Franklin Township, Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is located atop a small hill east of the borough of Rocky Hill. The Middlesex–Somerset county line runs through the community along Old Road though elsewhere it follows Route 27. Carters Brook runs through the area flowing south.
Middlesex Downs is an unincorporated community located within Monroe Township in Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The wholly residential settlement contains small homes along Dey Grove Road and Bergen Mills Road with larger homes in developments towards the south. The township-owned James Monroe Memorial Park is also located in this settlement. Much of the area to the north of Dey Grove Road consists of forest land but at one time this was planned to become a large planned community arranged in a street grid. The small property parcels and paper streets remain on township tax maps today.

Fairfield is an unincorporated community located within Howell Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The community is centered on the intersection of County Route 524 (CR 524) and Ketchum Road, where the Colonial Era Our House Tavern is located. The area includes several small businesses, township offices and schools. There are also small farms and residential developments in the area. Fairfield was a stop on the Freehold and Jamesburg Agricultural Railroad.
Freewood Acres is an unincorporated community located within Howell Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is made up of mostly single-story homes arranged along a street grid in the northern reaches of the Pine Barrens. U.S. Route 9 runs through the center of the community just north of its interchange with Interstate 195. The Land O'Pines Elementary School and Manasquan Reservoir County Park exist to the east of the community. It became the center of the Kalmyk American community in the latter part of the 20th century.
Lower Squankum is an unincorporated community located within Howell Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is located along Lakewood-Farmingdale Road at its intersection with Herbertsville Road and Old Tavern Road in the eastern side of the township. It is also located near the boundary of Allaire State Park and is south of Interstate 195's exit 31. Nearby the community are the remains of the Lower Squankum Mill and the Lower Squankum Friends Burial Site, located within the median of CR 547 at the aforementioned interchange.

The settlement is located at the intersection of County Route 526 and Red Valley Road (south) and Yellow Meetinghouse Road (north) near the township's eastern border with Millstone Township. West Farms is an unincorporated community located within Howell Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is centered on the intersection of West Farms Road and Casino Drive, located to the west of Farmingdale and to the north of the Manasquan Reservoir. It was once home Jewish farmers who settled there in the early 20th century. The rural area is mostly made up of wooded areas with some houses and churches dotted along the two aforementioned roads. Numerous small farms are also located throughout the area.
Davisville is an unincorporated community located within Chesterfield Township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement, located at the intersection of County Route 528 and Chesterfield-Arneytown Road, is in a rural area in the eastern portion of the township.
