China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) is a Chinese aircraft manufacturer headquartered in Zhuhai, Guangdong. It was established as a division of the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) in July 2009.

The company purchased the assets of the bankrupt Epic Aircraft in 2010, [4] [5] [6] [7] forming a partnership with the LT Builders Group operate the company under a judge's ordered deal. [8] [9] CAIGA sold its stake in Epic to the Russian company Engineering LLC in March 2012. [10] [11] [12]

In 2011, CAIGA purchased the American Cirrus Aircraft company. [13]

Cessna is an American brand of general aviation aircraft owned by Textron Aviation since 2014, headquartered in Wichita, Kansas. In July 2013, Chinese state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) acquired the aircraft Diesel engine designs and manufacturing assets of the former Thielert Aircraft Engines GmbH and added them to the Continental Motors Group as Technify Motors GmbH. The 5,000th engine was delivered in April 2017 after 15 years of production, accumulating more than 5.25 million flying hours and equipping over 2,750 aircraft.

Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC), a subsidiary of AVIC, is a Chinese aircraft manufacturer in Shenyang, Liaoning. Founded in 1951 as the classified 112 Factory, it is the oldest aircraft manufacturer in the People's Republic of China. Many aircraft manufacturers in China such as Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group or Guizhou Aircraft Industry Co. were founded with help from Shenyang. The company mainly focuses on designing and manufacturing civilian and military aircraft, as well as their related components including jet engines. It is also involved in the development of UAVs and drones.

Changhe Aircraft Industries Corporation (CAIC) is a Chinese helicopter manufacturer and supplier to the Chinese military. It is a member of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The company is based in the city of Jingdezhen in Jiangxi province. Changhe employs 4300 employees in two production facilities with 1.29 million sq. metres and 0.22 million sq. metres of construction area. It has a joint venture with Agusta Helicopter and relationship with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. Its subsidiary, Changhe Machinery Factory, is a major automobile company in China.

The ICON A5 is an American amphibious light-sport aircraft (LSA) designed and produced by ICON Aircraft. A concept aircraft was first flown in 2008, and creation of the production tooling began in December 2012. The first production aircraft made its first flight on July 7, 2014, and made its public debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on July 27, 2014. A year later at AirVenture, it was temporarily donated to the youth group Young Eagles, with the first official A5 customer deliveries occurring in 2016. As of 2019, 100 A5s had been delivered. The aircraft is known for having brought significant excitement and publicity to the LSA industry since its unveiling in 2008, although company legal and financial issues have slowed production since 2016.

The Epic LT is an American kit-built single-engined turboprop aircraft intended for use by private pilots. The Epic Dynasty was the proposed certified version of the LT that was intended be sold as a completed aircraft, prior to Epic Aircraft's bankruptcy in August 2009 and later acquisition by new owners in April 2010. Under ownership of the reorganized company, the certificated version is to be called the E1000, with first deliveries initially scheduled for 2015, but delayed until 2019.

The AVIC Leadair AG300, previously called Primus 150, built by the China Aviation Industry General Aircraft, is a development of the Epic LT aircraft built using the international rights to Epic Aircraft bought in bankruptcy in 2010. As part of the settlement, Epic retained its rights for American construction and support of its aircraft, creating two divergent lines.

CBJ800 “Pegasus”, which stands for Chinese Business Jet 800, is a business jet developed by Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group, with collaboration of Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, Hongdu Aviation Industry Group, AVIC International and Chengdu Industry Investment Corporation. The model was first shown in Zhuhai Airshow 2012 and it was called Chinese Next Generation Business Jet at that time. In Chengdu International Business and General Aviation Exhibition of 2015, the newly showed model was painted with the formal name of CBJ800. According to the report from the meeting, the project will formally be started in 2016, and jet will be pushed to the market in 7-8 years.

Lin Zuoming is a Chinese business chief executive and politician who served as chairman of the Board of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China from 2012 to 2018. He previously served as general manager of the corporation and chairman of the Board of the AVIC I Commercial Aircraft and vice chairman of the Board of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China and before that, general manager and chairman of the Board of China Aviation Industry Corporation I. He is the current chairman of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
