Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU), is a collegiate public state university located in Delhi, India. It was established in 2020. It offers 15 diploma, 18 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate courses, and has a total of 19 campus in Delhi. [3] The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi serves as the university chancellor. [4]

History

Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) was established by the Delhi Legislative Assembly as an unitary and teaching university in August 2020 by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University Act, 2019. [3] The university is recognised by University Grants Commission (India), under section 12B of the UGC Act. [5]

DSEU was merged with 15 existing government institutes and colleges such as Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering (Wazirpur and Okhla Campus), GB Pant College of Engineering, Integrated Institute of Technology, 10 polytechnics of the Delhi government, and 6 Skill Centres. [6] [7] [3]

Organisation and administration

Governance

The governing officials of the university include the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor, the Pro-Vice Chancellors, the first members of the Court, the Board of Management, the Academic Council and the Finance Committee of the university. [37]

The President of India is the Visitor of the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University. The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is the Chancellor of the university. The Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the Chancellor. The Chancellor is the nominal head of the university and the Vice-Chancellor is the executive head of the university. [37]

Satyawati College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, in New Delhi, India. It offers both morning and evening classes to a student base of almost 3000, with a permanent teaching staff of around 150. This college comes under the North Campus categorization of Delhi University.

Sarita Vihar is a residential colony situated in South East Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. Parul University is a private university in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Prior to its incorporation as Parul University under the Gujarat Private Universities Act Second Amendment of 2009, the University’s origins traces back to 1993, with the establishment of the Ahmedabad Homeopathic College. Parul University is situated on a 150-acre campus in Vadodara housing over 50,000 students and has a rich history of achievements, including being Gujarat’s first self-financed institute. Since inception, the University adopted an expansionist strategy that led to the establishment of campuses beyond its original location in Ahmedabad to cities such as Rajkot and culminated in Vadodara in 2003, where the main campus was subsequently established and further plans to expand in North India by opening its career counselling centre in Chandigarh.

Bhai Parmanand Institute of Business Studies (BPIBS) is a government higher education institute located in New Delhi, India. It grants various postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, being affiliated to Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). The institute was established in the year 1965 by the Government of the NCT of Delhi and it was named after renowned Arya Samaji, Hindu reformist and Indian nationalist leader Bhai Parmanand in 1986. The institute is approved by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education and by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is also ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Academy of Applied Arts is a single subject applied arts school specializing in interior design and its faculties. It is Headquartered at New Delhi and was founded in 2010. The Academy of Applied Arts is recognized by the NIESBUD, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
