Emergency Declaration is a 2021 South Korean aviation disaster-action film directed by Han Jae-rim and starring Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Nam-gil, Im Si-wan, Kim So-jin and Park Hae-joon. Filming restarted on September 12, 2020, after postponement due to COVID-19 resurgence in August 2020. The film was wrapped up on October 24, 2020.

<i>Decision to Leave</i> 2022 film by Park Chan-wook

Decision to Leave is a 2022 South Korean romantic mystery film produced, co-written and directed by Park Chan-wook. It stars Tang Wei and Park Hae-il. In April 2022, the film was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where Park Chan-wook won Best Director. Decision to Leave was released theatrically on 29 June 2022 in South Korea. It was selected as the South Korean entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards.

<i>The Book of Fish</i> 2021 South Korean historical film

The Book of Fish is a 2021 South Korean historical black and white film directed by Lee Joon-ik. The film starring Sol Kyung-gu and Byun Yo-han, is about an exiled Joseon era scholar and a fisherman and their exchange of knowledge in writing a book. The film was theatrically released on March 31, 2021 by Megabox.

<i>Escape from Mogadishu</i> 2021 South Korean action drama film

Escape from Mogadishu is a 2021 South Korean action drama film, directed by Ryoo Seung-wan and starring Kim Yoon-seok, Jo In-sung, Heo Joon-ho and Kim So-jin. The film, based on real events, is set during the Somali Civil War and the two Koreas' efforts to be admitted to the United Nations in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It depicts details of a perilous escape attempt made by North and South Korean embassy workers stranded during the conflict.

<i>Kingmaker</i> (film) 2022 South Korean political drama film

Kingmaker is a 2022 South Korean political drama film, written and directed by Sung-Hyun for Seed Film and starring Sol Kyung-gu, Lee Sun-kyun and Yoo Jae-myung. It was scheduled to be theatrically released on December 29, 2021 but due to rapid increase in COVID-19 pandemic it was released on January 26, 2022 to coincide with Korean New Year holidays. The film was also officially invited in competition section at the 24th Udine Far East Film Festival held from April 22 to 30, 2022.

<i>Broker</i> (2022 film) 2022 South Korean film

Broker is a 2022 South Korean drama film directed and written by Hirokazu Kore-eda starring Song Kang-ho, Gang Dong-won, Bae Doona, Lee Ji-eun, and Lee Joo-young. The film revolves around characters associated with baby boxes, which allow infants to be dropped off anonymously to be cared for by others. The film was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where it was screened on 26 May and won Ecumenical Jury Award and the Best Actor Award for Song Kang-ho. It was released on June 8, 2022, in theaters in South Korea.
