The Goethe-Institut is a non-profit German cultural association operational worldwide with 159 institutes, promoting the study of the German language abroad and encouraging international cultural exchange and relations. Around 246,000 people take part in these German courses per year.
Goethe University Frankfurt is a university located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was founded in 1914 as a citizens' university, which means it was founded and funded by the wealthy and active liberal citizenry of Frankfurt. The original name in German was Universität Frankfurt am Main. In 1932, the university's name was extended in honour of one of the most famous native sons of Frankfurt, the poet, philosopher and writer/dramatist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The university currently has around 45,000 students, distributed across four major campuses within the city.
German studies is the field of humanities that researches, documents and disseminates German language and literature in both its historic and present forms. Academic departments of German studies often include classes on German culture, German history, and German politics in addition to the language and literature component. Common German names for the field are Germanistik, Deutsche Philologie, and Deutsche Sprachwissenschaft und Literaturwissenschaft. In English, the terms Germanistics or Germanics are sometimes used, but the subject is more often referred to as German studies, German language and literature, or German philology.
Seyran Ateş is a German lawyer and a Muslim feminist. She founded the Ibn Ruschd-Goethe mosque in 2017, as Germany's first liberal place of worship for Muslims. Ateş is best known for challenging conventional ideas in Islamic teaching by opening a mosque in Berlin which breaks with traditionalist precepts of what being a Muslim means.
The Goethe Medal, also known as the Goethe-Medaille, is a yearly prize given by the Goethe-Institut honoring non-Germans "who have performed outstanding service for the German language and for international cultural relations". It is an official decoration of the Federal Republic of Germany. The prize used to be given on 22 March, the anniversary of Goethe's death. Since 2009, it has been given on 28 August, the anniversary of Goethe's birth. The first awards were made in 1955. In the intervening years, through 2018, a total of 348 women and men from 65 countries have been so honored. It is not to be confused with Goethe-Medaille für Kunst und Wissenschaft (1932–1944) and Goetheplakette der Stadt Frankfurt am Main.
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is a public research university in Karlsruhe, Germany. The institute is a national research center of the Helmholtz Association.
The Embassy of Germany in Bangkok is the diplomatic mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Thailand. The embassy is located in the capital Bangkok on an area of c. 28,000m². The building is owned by the Government of Germany.

It fosters cultural cooperation and promotes German language learning by offering the public opportunities to interact with themes and questions relevant to German culture and society. The institute provides grants for translation in subject areas like democracy, current regional and global issues, the cultural dimension of European integration, recent German history or outstanding works of contemporary German literature.

Aswat Almadina,, meaning "Voices of the City", is a modern Sudanese music band, founded in 2016 in the capital Khartoum. Their original songs are influenced both by Sudanese urban music of the 21st century as well as by international pop music styles. Their lyrics are sung in Sudanese Arabic, accompanied by electric guitars, percussion and keyboards. Using metaphors that everyone in Sudan understands, lead singer Ibrahim Ibn Albadya sings about social issues or Sudanese everyday culture. Their motto "Love and peace" as well as improvised performances in public spaces of the Khartoum metropolitan area gained them a reputation of being concerned with community issues, for example by collecting waste from the streets before playing their songs to the local audience. Due to their involvement as active part of the civil society the band was selected as National Goodwill Ambassador for UNDP in Sudan.
Eythar Gubara, is a Sudanese freelance photographer and activist for human rights. She is mainly known for her documentary images of everyday life in Sudan and of events during the Sudanese Revolution. In her work, she has placed a special focus on images of women, as well as on social diversity in Sudan.
Germany–Senegal relations are the bilateral relations between Germany and Senegal. The relations are described by the German Foreign Office as "friendly." The two countries share a close partnership in development cooperation, and numerous cultural ties exist between the two countries.
Germany–Sri Lanka relations are diplomatic relations between Germany and Sri Lanka. They have existed since 1953, and the 60th anniversary was celebrated in Berlin in October 2013. With the end of the 30-year civil war in 2009, Germany became an important partner in reconstruction as well as a helper in the reconciliation of the different ethnic groups.
Emily Vontz is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a Member of the German Bundestag from Saarland since January 2023. She is the youngest member of the Bundestag and the first German MP to be born in the 2000s.
Olufela Omokeko is a Nigerian contemporary multimedia artist who works in performance, installation and photography. Born and based in Iwaya waterfront community in Lagos, Olufela is the artistic director of Slum Makers Art Project (X-MAP) in Makoko, and the co-cultural producer of the annual Iwaya Community Art Festival in Lagos.
