Flight Training Center

Flight Training Center (Czech : Centrum leteckého výcviku; CLV) in Pardubice is not a part of the Air Force. Primary flight training was outsourced as of 1 April 2004. CLV is a branch of LOM PRAHA s.p., state owned company. [13]

Czech Land Forces

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Czech Army are used mainly by the Unmanned Reconnaissance Aerial Vehicle Company of the 102nd Reconnaissance Battalion with one "Scan Eagle Group" and four "RQ-11B Raven Sections" ready for deployment (as of 2017). [20]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Aero L-159 ALCA</span> Type of aircraft

The Aero L-159 ALCA is a subsonic light combat aircraft and advanced trainer developed in the single-seat L-159A and two-seat L-159B versions, respectively, produced in the Czech Republic by Aero Vodochody. It was derived from the Aero L-59 Super Albatros trainer, which was in turn developed from the Aero L-39 Albatros series.

The Czech Air Force is the air force branch of the Army of the Czech Republic. Along with the Land Forces, the Air Force is the major Czech military force. With traditions of military aviation dating back to 1918, the Czech Air Force, together with the Slovak Air Force, succeeded the Czechoslovak Air Force in 1993. On 1 July 1997, the 3rd Tactical Aviation Corps and the 4th Air Defence Corps of the Czech Army were merged to form an independent Air Force Headquarters.

Operation Out Distance was a Czech resistance group active during World War II. It was dispatched by Special Group D of the Ministry of Defence of the Czechoslovak government in exile in London. The group operated in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, a region of occupied Czechoslovakia.

Jindřich Kabát was a Czech psychologist, professor and politician. He was the first Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic, holding the office from 1992 to 1994.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">4th Rapid Deployment Brigade (Czech Republic)</span> Military unit

The 4th (Czech) Rapid Deployment Brigade is a brigade of the Army of the Czech Republic. It is assigned to the NATO Allied Rapid Reaction Corps. Units from the brigade have deployed as part of KFOR, ISAF and EUTM Mali. Elemets of the brigade were deployed in support of the emergency services during the floods in 1997, 2002 and 2013. The brigade consists of three battalions and is considered as spearhead of the Army of the Czech Republic. It builds the core of the 4th Brigade Task Force. For 29 years soldiers of the brigade wore maroon berets as elements of the brigade were trained as paratroopers, especially 43rd Airborne Battalion. In june 2023 the whole brigade changed to the new khaki berets as the rest of the ground forces.

The 2012–13 season was Dukla Prague's second consecutive season in the Czech First League.

Taťana Fischerová was a Czech actress, writer, television host, politician and civic activist. From 2002 to 2006, she was a member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. She was a candidate in the 2013 Czech presidential election.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">115th Squadron (Iraq)</span> Military unit

The 115th Squadron, Iraqi Air Force is a squadron. It is based at Balad Air Base. Established in 2015, the 115th Squadron operates Czech-built Aero L-159 light combat aircraft with the first two delivered on 5 November 2015. Since 1 August 2016, the squadron is supported by the "Air Advisory Team Iraq" of the Czech Air Force. Its main task is to advise during operational training of Iraqi Air Force's air and ground personnel over flying and maintenance of L-159 aircraft supplied by the Czech Republic.

Prague was the first city in Czechoslovakia to introduce modern trolleybuses. Only a few other trolleybus systems existed previously in the Czech lands – in České Velenice (Gmünd) and České Budějovice – using the same overhead system as the Electromote, the predecessor of all trolleybuses.
