The arena's parking lot can hold 1,000 cars. Yurihonjo city introduced the Daktronics high-definition LED centerhung display for the second time in the prefecture. "EXPERIENCE THE DAKTRONICS DIFFERENCE" was the very first message on this HD video set. There is no ribbon displays and "see through" shot clocks. It is named after the supermarket Nices based in Akita city. The store pays JPY3.1 million annually for the naming rights.

Historically, the most significant are games which were played between Vegalta and Montedio, the two most successful of Tohoku's football clubs. The Blaublitz vs Montedio derby is called Ōu Honsen and played in the former Dewa Province. The Nambu derby is a football rivalry between Vanraure and Grulla, both teams are based in old Nambu domain territory. The 2024 Emperor's Cup [Emperor's Cup JFA 104th Japan Football Championship ] will be the 104th edition of the annually contested cup, starting on 25 May. It will as usual feature 88 teams representing the prefectural football associations, J1 League, J2 League and Japan Football League.
