Universal Channel (Greece) was a television network, owned by Universal Networks International, a division of NBCUniversal. It debuted in Greece on May 5, 2008, exclusively on OTE TV, the pay-TV service of OTE, one of the major telecommunication groups in Southeastern Europe. Later, the channel broadcast in Cyprus via PrimeTel, Cablenet and Cytavision. The Channel hosted the branded block Sci Fi, the brand dedicated to science fiction, horror, fantasy and paranormal of NBCUniversal. Sci Fi aired every Saturday from 9 PM to 1:10 AM and every Sunday starting from around 4 to 9 PM.

Universal Channel (Greece) aired exclusive Universal Networks International series, for the first time on Greek TV, such as Rookie Blue and Fairly Legal. The network also showed many Hollywood blockbusters of various genre such as The Blues Brothers, Twelve Monkeys, Bean, Carlito’s Way, Waterworld, Pitch Black, Meet Joe Black and Shakespeare in Love. Universal Channel (Greece) was received very well by its subscribers.

May 31, 2012, NBCUniversal ceased providing Universal Channel to OTE TV and it was replaced by Village Cinema. On March 31, 2013, this channel ceased broadcasting in Cyprus and was replaced by Sundance Channel.

Village Cinema is a television movie network, owned by local diversified investment holding company, Demco Group, under brand licence from Village Roadshow. It debuted in Greece on June, 11th 2012 exclusively on Cosmote TV via Conn-x and Cosmote TV via Satellite.

Eureka is an American science fiction television series that premiered on Syfy on July 18, 2006. The fifth and final season ended on July 16, 2012. The show was set in a fictional town of Eureka, Oregon. Most residents of Eureka are scientific geniuses who work for Global Dynamics – an advanced research facility responsible for the development of nearly all major technological breakthroughs since its inception. Each episode featured a mysterious accidental or intentional misuse of technology, which the town sheriff, Jack Carter, solved with the help of town scientists. Each season also featured a larger story arc that concerned a particular major event or item.

<i>Destination Truth</i> television series

Destination Truth is a weekly American paranormal reality television series that premiered on June 6, 2007, on Syfy. Produced by Mandt Bros. Productions and Ping Pong Productions, the program follows paranormal researcher Josh Gates around the world to investigate claims of the supernatural, mainly in the field of cryptozoology. The third season concluded on April 21, 2010, and currently holds the highest ratings ever for the series, which continued with a fourth season, beginning on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The fifth season began July 10, 2012. On March 27, 2014, Gates confirmed via his Facebook account that Destination Truth had ended its run and would not be returning for a sixth season. However, Travel Channel began airing reruns of the show in the spring of 2017.

<i>Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files</i> film

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is a paranormal investigation series produced by Base Productions that began airing July 15, 2010, on SyFy. The show follows a team of investigators, led by former FBI agent Ben Hansen, who review various photographs and viral videos of alleged paranormal activity. If a particular piece of evidence is deemed intriguing enough to warrant further investigation, they set out to recreate and explain the sighting.
