As of the census [4] of 2000, there were 177 people, 68 households, and 43 families living in the CDP. The population density was 29.6 inhabitants per square mile (11.4/km2). There were 80 housing units at an average density of 13.4/sq mi (5.2/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 15.25% White, 82.49% African American and 2.26% Asian.
There were 68 households, out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.2% were married couples living together, 22.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% were non-families. 33.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.41.
In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 25.4% under the age of 18, 10.7% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
