Robert Francis Boyle was an American film art director and production designer.

<i>The Birds</i> (film) 1963 film by Alfred Hitchcock

The Birds is a 1963 American horror-thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock, loosely based on the 1952 story of the same name by Daphne du Maurier. It focuses on a series of sudden, unexplained violent bird attacks on the people of Bodega Bay, California over the course of a few days.

Bruce Noble Garvey was a British-born Canadian journalist and editor.


Ian Castles was Secretary of the Australian Government Department of Finance (1979–86), the Australian Statistician (1986–94), and a Visiting Fellow at the Asia Pacific School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University, Canberra.

Early Graves is a metal band from San Francisco, California that includes aspects of thrash and hardcore in their music. The band formed in 2007 from the ashes of tech metal band Apiary. They have toured the U.S. extensively with The Handshake Murders, Gaza, The Funeral Pyre and Unearth, amongst many others. Their debut album We: The Guillotine was released worldwide August 19, 2008 on Ironclad/Metalblade Records. On June 22, 2010, they released a second album, Goner.

James Edward Hunter was an American football defensive back who played for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League. Hunter was the 10th player picked in the 1976 NFL Draft. He led the Lions in interceptions in 1976, 1977, and 1980. Hunter is 7th all-time for interceptions in Lions history. His son, Javin Hunter, played for Notre Dame and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.


Marilyn Buck American writer, terrorist

Marilyn Jean Buck was an American Marxist revolutionary, and feminist poet, who was imprisoned for her participation in the 1979 prison escape of Assata Shakur, the 1981 Brink's robbery and the 1983 U.S. Senate bombing. Buck received an 80-year sentence, which she served in federal prison, from where she published numerous articles and other texts. She was released on July 15, 2010, less than a month before her death at age 62 from cancer.

Bruce Mark Cohen was an American Rabbi who co-founded the Interns for Peace, an organization founded in Israel in 1976 that is dedicated to fostering understanding between Arabs and Israelis through the training of community development and peace workers.

James L. Gray British engineer

James Laird Gray FREng (1926–2010) was a leading light in the field of steam turbine technology in the UK.


Robert E. Davis American judge

Robert E. Davis was the Chief Justice of the Kansas Supreme Court from 2009 to 2010. He was first appointed in 1993 and became chief justice on January 12, 2009.

James Harley Kennan SC was an Australian politician and later Adjunct Professor of Law at Deakin University.

Henry A. Lardy was a biochemist and professor emeritus in the Biochemistry Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1958. Research in Lardy's laboratory centered on elucidating the mechanisms underlying metabolism.


Robert Baker Aitken Zen teacher, political activist

Robert Baker Dairyu Chotan Aitken Rōshi was a Zen teacher in the Harada-Yasutani lineage. He co-founded the Honolulu Diamond Sangha in 1959 together with his wife, Anne Hopkins Aitken. Aitken received Dharma transmission from Koun Yamada in 1985 but decided to live as a layperson. He was a socialist advocating social justice for gays, women and Native Hawaiians throughout his life, and was one of the original founders of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship.

Godfrey Binaisa Ugandan President

Godfrey Lukongwa Binaisa QC was a Ugandan lawyer who was Attorney General of Uganda from 1962 to 1968 and later served as President of Uganda from June 1979 to May 1980. At his death he was Uganda's only surviving former president.

Suzanne Deidre Napier was an Australian politician. She was a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly for the Division of Bass. Napier was first elected in 1992 and was re-elected in 1996, 1998, 2002 and 2006.
