Oliver Bernard was an English poet and translator. He is perhaps best known for translating Arthur Rimbaud into English as part of the Penguin Classics collection.

William T. "Bill" Cartwright Sr. was an American television and film director, producer and editor responsible for a number of documentaries. He was nominated for 5 Emmys Emmy Awards in 1978 and 1997 and won three. He edited "Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision" which won an Oscar. He also has many credits for direction and producing. His son William T. Cartwright Jr. is also an editor and is credited with some of the titles listed below.

Watts Towers towers in Los Angeles

The Watts Towers, Towers of Simon Rodia, or Nuestro Pueblo are a collection of 17 interconnected sculptural towers, architectural structures, and individual sculptural features and mosaics within the site of the artist's original residential property in Watts, Los Angeles. The entire site of towers, structures, sculptures, pavement and walls were designed and built solely by Sabato ("Simon") Rodia (1879–1965), an Italian immigrant construction worker and tile mason, over a period of 33 years from 1921 to 1954. The tallest of the towers is 99.5 feet (30.3 m). The work is an example of outsider art and Italian-American naïve art.

Mario Bernardi Canadian musician

Mario Bernardi, was a Canadian conductor and pianist. He conducted 75 different operas and over 450 other works with the National Arts Centre Orchestra.

Bruce Leonard Cathie was a New Zealand airline pilot who wrote seven books related to flying saucers and a "World energy grid".

Marco Frascari was an Italian architect and architectural theorist. He was born in Mantua, in northern Italy, in 1945. He studied with Carlo Scarpa and Arrigo Rudi at IUAV and received his PhD in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He taught for several years at the University of Pennsylvania, then as Visiting Professor at Columbia and Harvard. He served as G. Truman Ward Professor of Architecture at Virginia Tech from 1998 to 2005. In 2005, he became director of the David Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Marco Frascari died in Ottawa on June 2, 2013 after a protracted illness.

Yves Bertrand was a French intelligence officer and the General Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (RG) of the French police from 1992 to 2004. His diaries led to a political scandal in the run-up to the French presidential election in 2007. On 3 June 2013 he was found dead in his flat in Paris, France. He was 69 years old. The cause of death is as yet unknown.

The Direction Centrale des Renseignements Généraux, often called Renseignements Généraux (RG), was the intelligence service of the French police, answerable to the Direction Générale de la Police Nationale (DGPN), and, ultimately, the Ministry of the Interior. It was also in charge of the monitoring of gambling places and horse racing ranges.

Will Davis Campbell was a Baptist minister, activist, author, and lecturer. Throughout his life, he was a notable white supporter of civil rights in the Southern United States. In addition to his activism, Campbell was also a noted author, particularly with his autobiographical work Brother to a Dragonfly, a finalist for the National Book Award in 1978. He was the late cartoonist Doug Marlette's inspiration for the character Will B. Dunn in his comic strip, Kudzu.

Walter Charles "Walt" (Poppy) Arfons was the half brother of Art Arfons, his former partner in drag racing, and his competitor in jet-powered land speed record racing. Along with Art, he was a pioneer in the use of aircraft jet engines for these types of competition.

Martin Arnold was an American journalist who spent nearly four decades at The New York Times.

Sir James Reginald Alfred Bottomley, was a British diplomat.

Don Bowman was an American country music singer, songwriter, comedian and radio host. He recorded for RCA Victor between 1964 and 1970, charting in the Top 40 with the novelty hit single "Chit Akins, Make Me a Star". Bowman also worked at several radio stations, including KRZK in Branson, Missouri.

Just to Satisfy You (song) 1964 single by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings

"Just to Satisfy You" is a song written by country music singers Waylon Jennings and Don Bowman in 1963. Jennings included the song in his performing repertoire, and on radio, where the song became a local hit in Phoenix, Arizona.
