Moyer MacClaren "Sonny" Bupp was an American child film actor and businessman. His most notable film was Citizen Kane (1941), in which he appears as Junior, Charles Foster Kane III, the eight-year-old son of Charles Foster Kane and his first wife, Emily. Bupp was the last surviving credited member of the Citizen Kane cast at his death.

<i>Our Gang</i> Film series

Our Gang is an American series of comedy short films chronicling a group of poor neighborhood children and their adventures. Created by comedy producer and studio executive Hal Roach, the series was produced in various forms from 1922 to 1944 and is noted for showing children behaving in a relatively natural way. Roach and original director Robert F. McGowan worked to film the unaffected, raw nuances apparent in regular children rather than have them imitate adult acting styles. The series broke new ground by portraying white and black boys and girls interacting as equals.

<i>Citizen Kane</i> 1941 American drama film directed by Orson Welles

Citizen Kane is a 1941 American drama film by Orson Welles, its producer, co-screenwriter, director and star. The picture was Welles's first feature film. Nominated for Academy Awards in nine categories, it won an Academy Award for Best Writing by Herman J. Mankiewicz and Welles. Considered by many critics, filmmakers, and fans to be the greatest film ever made, Citizen Kane was voted as such in five consecutive British Film Institute Sight & Sound polls of critics, and it topped the American Film Institute's 100 Years ... 100 Movies list in 1998, as well as its 2007 update. Citizen Kane is particularly praised for Gregg Toland's cinematography, Robert Wise's editing, Bernard Herrmann's music, and its narrative structure, all of which have been considered innovative and precedent-setting.

Oreste Benzi Italian priest

Oreste Benzi was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and the founder of the "Associazione Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII". Benzi championed the rights of the individual and founded his association to aid teenagers in their lives and their path to Jesus Christ while also striving to evangelize to those including the destitute.

Henry Cele was a South African actor noted for his portrayal of the great Zulu Warrior King Shaka kaSenzangakhona in the South African television miniseries Shaka Zulu.

<i>Shaka Zulu</i> (TV series) television series

Shaka Zulu is a 1986 South African television series directed by William C. Faure and written by Joshua Sinclair for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), based on Sinclair's novel of the same name (1985). It is based on the story of the king of the Zulu, Shaka, and the writings of the British traders with whom he interacted. It aired in U.S. syndication. Harmony Gold USA partly funded and distributed Shaka Zulu in spite of the economic sanctions at the time. The series consists of 10 episodes of approximately 50 minutes each in duration.

Peter James Andren AM was an Australian politician. He was an independent member of the Australian House of Representatives from March 1996 until October 2007, representing the electorate of Calare, New South Wales.

Archbishop of Birmingham Wikimedia list article

The Archbishop of Birmingham heads the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham in England. As such he is the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Province of Birmingham. The archdiocese covers an area of 8,735 km2 (3,400 sq mi) and spans of the counties of Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. The see in the City of Birmingham where the archbishop's seat is located at the Metropolitan Cathedral and Basilica of Saint Chad.

Aleksandr Dedyushko Russian actor

Aleksandr Viktorovich Dedyushko was a Russian television actor, best known for war dramas and the Russian version of Dancing with the Stars.

Edward John Bartels was an American basketball player.

Cyprian Ekwensi MFR was a Nigerian author of novels, short stories, and children's books.

The Ramakrishna Order is the monastic lineage that was founded by Ramakrishana, when he gave the ocher cloth of renunciation to twelve of his close disciples, in January 1886 at the Cossipore House.

Roberto Bortoluzzi Italian journalist

Roberto Bortoluzzi was an Italian sports journalist and radio broadcaster. He was best known as the host of Tutto il calcio minuto per minuto, a live radio show covering Italian football (soccer).

Leslie James Seth-Smith, known as James Brabazon, was a screenwriter and the author of two well-received biographies of Albert Schweitzer and Dorothy L. Sayers. He also compiled and translated some of Albert Schweitzer's writings in Albert Schweitzer: Essential Writings.

Thelma Buchholdt American politician

Thelma Garcia Buchholdt was a Filipino American community activist, politician, historian, public speaker, cultural worker, and author. She was elected to the Alaska House of Representatives for four consecutive terms, from 1974 through 1982. She was the author of the book Filipinos in Alaska: 1788-1958, which is now in its third printing and is available through the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.

Headquarters of the United Nations Group of buildings in New York City

The United Nations is headquartered in New York City, in a complex designed by a board of architects led by Wallace Harrison, and built by the architectural firm Harrison & Abramovitz. The complex has served as the official headquarters of the United Nations since its completion in 1952. It is located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, on 17 to 18 acres of grounds overlooking the East River. Its borders are First Avenue on the west, East 42nd Street to the south, East 48th Street on the north and the East River to the east. The term "Turtle Bay" is occasionally used as a metonym for the UN headquarters or for the United Nations as a whole.

Sean Patrick Hannity is an American talk show host and conservative political commentator. Hannity is the host of The Sean Hannity Show, a nationally syndicated talk radio show. He also hosts a cable news show, Hannity, on Fox News.

Tony Kornheiser American television talk show host and former sportswriter/columnist

Anthony Irwin Kornheiser is a former sportswriter and columnist, as well as a podcast and television talk show host and restaurateur.

Trump Tower Skyscraper in Manhattan, New York

Trump Tower is a 58-floor, 664-foot-tall (202 m) mixed-use skyscraper at 721–725 Fifth Avenue, between 56th and 57th Streets, in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Trump Tower serves as the headquarters for the Trump Organization. Additionally, it houses the penthouse condominium residence of the building's namesake and developer, U.S. president Donald Trump, who is also a businessman and real estate developer. Several members of the Trump family also live, or have resided, in the building. The tower stands on a plot where the flagship store of department-store chain Bonwit Teller was formerly located.

Uptown Hudson Tubes Railway tunnel in the United States

The Uptown Hudson Tubes are a pair of tunnels that carry PATH trains between Manhattan, New York City, to the east and Jersey City, New Jersey, to the west. The tubes originate at a junction of two PATH lines on the New Jersey shore and cross eastward under the Hudson River. On the Manhattan side, the tubes run mostly underneath Christopher Street and Sixth Avenue, making four intermediate stops before terminating at 33rd Street station. Despite their name, the tubes do not enter Uptown Manhattan, but are so named because they are located to the north of the Downtown Hudson Tubes, which connect Jersey City and the World Trade Center.

Matthew Dellavedova Australian basketball player

Matthew William Dellavedova is an Australian professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Saint Mary's College and has played on the Australian national team. Dellavedova won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

World Trade Center (1973–2001) Former skyscraper complex in Manhattan, New York

The original World Trade Center was a large complex of seven buildings in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, New York City, United States. It opened on April 4, 1973, and was destroyed in 2001 during the September 11 attacks. At the time of their completion, the Twin Towers — the original 1 World Trade Center, at 1,368 feet (417 m); and 2 World Trade Center, at 1,362 feet (415.1 m)—were the tallest buildings in the world. Other buildings in the complex included the Marriott World Trade Center, 4 WTC, 5 WTC, 6 WTC, and 7 WTC. The complex contained 13,400,000 square feet (1,240,000 m2) of office space.

Humayun Khan (soldier) American soldier

Humayun Saqib Muazzam Khan was a United States Army officer. Born in the United Arab Emirates to Pakistani parents, he moved to the U.S. with his family as a young boy. He attended the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps. Upon graduating in 2000, Khan was commissioned an officer in the United States Army and was deployed as a captain to Iraq during the Iraq War. In 2004 he was killed in a suicide attack near Baqubah, Iraq, and was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Richard Rothstein is an American historian and academic. He is a Senior Fellow at the Haas Institute at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Rothstein is also a Distinguished Fellow of the Economic Policy Institute and a Senior Fellow, Emeritus at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Previously, he was the National Education Columnist for The New York Times from 1999 to 2002. His research focuses on the history of segregation in the United States with regards to education and housing.
