Berlenti Abdul Hamid actress

Berlenti Abdel Hamid, born Nefisa Abdel-Hamid Hawass, was an icon of Egyptian cinema's golden age. She is known for her roles as a "temptress". She married Abdel Hakim Amer, the first vice-president of the former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

Adriaan Blaauw Dutch astronomer

Adriaan Blaauw was a Dutch astronomer.

Helen Strassburger Boatwright was an American soprano who specialized in the performance of American song, recorded the first full-length album of songs by composer Charles Ives and had a career that spanned more than five decades.

Marvin Bass American football player and coach, baseball coach

Marvin Crosby Bass was the head coach of The College of William & Mary's football team in 1951. He also coached the South Carolina Gamecocks football team for five seasons.

It was through college football play that American football rules first gained popularity in the United States.

Hugues Cuénod Swiss opera tenor

Hugues-Adhémar Cuénod was a Swiss classical tenor and music educator known for his performances in international opera, operetta, both traditional and musical theatre, and on the concert stage, where he was particularly known for his clear, light, romantic and expressive poised interpretation of mélodie. A master of diction and technique, his repertoire encompassed everything from the medieval chansons of Guillaume de Machaut, Elizabethan Love Songs, the sacred renaissance compositions of Claudio Monteverdi to the operas of Jacques Offenbach and the avant garde works of Igor Stravinsky, as well as recordings of lute songs. Cuénod contributed to the revival of baroque music, performing compositions by Francesco Cavalli and others. A distinguished singer of Johann Sebastian Bach's music, he was particularly praised for his interpretation of the Evangelist in Bach's St Matthew Passion. He had the longest career of any recorded vocalist or performer in history: he gave his first performance in Paris in 1928, appearing in musical comedies, later in his career gravitating more towards concert and opera, he gave his last concert in 1992; of the latter performances he became best known in the role as Emperor Altoum, appearing opposite Plácido Domingo in Puccini's Turandot.

Manish G. Acharya was an Indian film director and actor. Acharya was best known for Loins of Punjab Presents, the film he co-wrote with Anuwab Pal, directed, acted in, and co-produced. Released theatrically to great critical acclaim in 2007 in India and the USA, the film starred Shabana Azmi, Ayesha Dharkar and Ajay Naidu among others. Manish Acharya's other film credits include a cameo in the 2009 Zoya Akhtar film, Luck by Chance and a narrator in Nina Paley's animation feature film Sita Sings the Blues.

Mohamed Mahbub Alam was a Bangladeshi sprinter. In men's 200 metres sprint, he won gold in the 1995 South Asian Games in Madras and silver in the 1999 South Asian Games in Kathmandu. He also earned the national record of 10.56 seconds in the 100 metres sprint which 1996 Bangladesh National Athletics Championship. He received 2013 Bangladesh National Sports Award in the athletics category.

Pamela Jean Bryant was an American model and actress. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its April 1978 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Richard Fegley.

Alan A. Armer was an American television writer, producer, and director.

<i>The Fugitive</i> (TV series) American drama series 1963-1967

The Fugitive is an American drama series created by Roy Huggins. It was produced by QM Productions and United Artists Television. It aired on ABC from September 1963 to August 1967. David Janssen starred as Dr. Richard Kimble, a physician who is wrongfully convicted of his wife's murder and sentenced to receive the death penalty. En route to death row, Dr. Richard Kimble's train derails over a switch, allowing him to escape and begin a cross-country search for the real killer, a "one-armed man". At the same time, Dr. Kimble is hounded by the authorities, most notably by Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard.
