Hélio Quaglia Barbosa was a Brazilian who served on the country's Superior Court of Justice, which is Brazil's highest appellate court for non-constitutional issues. Barbosa died in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at the age of 66, of multiple organ failure on February 1, 2008.

Floyd M. Boring was an American Secret Service agent who served with five US Presidents. He was also present and took part in the gunfight that foiled an assassination attempt on Harry S. Truman.

Beto Carrero Brazilian businessman

Beto Carrero was a Brazilian theme park owner and entertainer. He was the creator of the Beto Carrero World Park, which bears his name, in the municipality of Penha, on the northern coast of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.

Gus Arriola cartoonist

Gustavo "Gus" Arriola was a Mexican-American comic strip cartoonist and animator, primarily known for the comic strip Gordo, which ran from 1941 through 1985.

<i>Gordo</i> (comic strip)

Gordo was a comic strip written and drawn by the Mexican-American artist Gustavo "Gus" Arriola (1917-2008) that introduced many Americans to Mexican culture. The strip was praised by the Mexican Government and the California State Legislature for its promotion of international understanding. Charles Schulz described it as "probably the most beautifully drawn strip in the history of the business."

Filemon R. Balbastro, Jr., better known as Billy Balbastro, was a Filipino lawyer and entertainment columnist.

Samuel J. Boyle IV, known as Sam Boyle, served for two decades as Chief of The Associated Press' New York City bureau. He oversaw AP's coverage of high-profile events, including the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

The Associated Press (AP) is a U.S.-based not-for-profit news agency headquartered in New York City. Founded in 1846, it operates as a cooperative, unincorporated association. Its members are U.S. newspapers and broadcasters.

Sheldon Brown (bicycle mechanic) American cyclist, writer and mechanic

Sheldon Brown was an American bicycle mechanic, technical expert and author. He contributed to print and online sources related to bicycling and bicycle mechanics, in particular the web site Sheldon Brown's Bicycle Technical Info. His knowledge of bicycles was described as "encyclopaedic" by The Times of London.

Endel Aruja was an Estonian physicist specialising in X-ray crystallography, encyclopedian, librarian, supporter of libraries and a long-term Estonian expatriate activist.

Lorenzo "Larry" J. Cruz was a Filipino restaurateur who founded the LJC Restaurant Group, which operates several restaurants in the Philippines. Among the restaurants he established through the LJC Group were Café Adriatico, Cafe Havana, Bistro Remedios, and Abe, which was named after his father, the writer E. Aguilar Cruz. Cruz was also a journalist and magazine publisher.

Augusta Dabney American actress

Augusta Keith Dabney was an American actress known for her roles on many soap operas, most notably as the wealthy but kindly matriarch Isabelle Alden on the daytime series Loving. She played the role from 1983 to 1987, from 1988–91, and again from 1994–95, returning to the part after Celeste Holm and Patricia Barry played the role but did not stay with the part for various reasons.

Schoolboy Cleve, born Cleveland White, was an American blues harmonica player, who worked with Lightnin' Slim, Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters, and Buddy Guy.

Cleveland Browns National Football League franchise in Cleveland, Ohio

The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Browns play their home games at FirstEnergy Stadium, which opened in 1999, with administrative offices and training facilities in Berea, Ohio. The Browns' official colors are brown, orange, and white. They are unique among the 32 member franchises of the NFL in that they do not have a logo on their helmets.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Inventor of Transcendental Meditation, musician

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was an Indian guru, known for developing the Transcendental Meditation technique and for being the leader and guru of a worldwide organization that has been characterized in multiple ways including as a new religious movement and as non-religious. He became known as Maharishi and Yogi as an adult.
