List of Australian rules football families

This is a List of Australian rules football families, that is families who have had more than one member play or coach in the Australian Football League (previously the VFL) as well as families who have had multiple immediate family members with notable playing or coaching careers in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), South Australian National Football League (SANFL) or Victorian Football League (VFL, formerly known as the VFA). Each family will have at least a father and child combination or a set of siblings. Many families have had two or more cousins play league football but they are not included unless one also had a father, child or sibling play.

Melbourne Football Club

The Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Demons, is a professional Australian rules football club, playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). It is based in Melbourne, Victoria, and plays its home games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The Australia international rules football team is Australia's senior representative team in International rules football, a hybrid sport derived from Australian rules football and Gaelic football. The current team is solely made up of players from the Australian Football League.

Thomas John Hawkins is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). At 198 cm tall and weighing 110 kilograms (240 lb), Hawkins has the ability to play as either a full-forward or centre half-forward. He grew up in New South Wales before moving to Victoria to attend Melbourne Grammar School, where his football abilities earned him a spot in the first XVIII in year ten. He played top-level football with the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup and Vic Metro in the AFL Under 18 Championships. His accolades as a junior include national and state representation, the Larke Medal as the AFL Under 18 Championships most valuable player, and All-Australian selection.

Geelong won the Grand Final against St Kilda.

The 2010 Australian Football League season commenced on 25 March 2010 and concluded on 2 October 2010. The premiership was won by Collingwood, who defeated St Kilda by 56 points in the Grand Final Replay, which was played after the first Grand Final was drawn. Collingwood's win marked the 15th VFL/AFL premiership in the club's history.

The Ablett family is one of the most prominent in Australian rules football, with many members playing in the Victorian Football League/Australian Football League.

The 2016 Australian Football League season was the 120th season of the elite Australian rules football competition and the 27th under the name 'Australian Football League', having switched from 'Victorian Football League' after 1989. There were 18 teams competing in the league, the same as the previous four seasons. The first game was played on Thursday, 24 March, and the 2016 AFL Grand Final was played on Saturday, 1 October with the Western Bulldogs defeating Sydney by 22 points to win its second premiership and first in 62 years, breaking the then-longest active drought in VFL/AFL history.

The 2019 Australian Football League season was the 123rd season of the elite Australian rules football competition and the 30th under the name 'Australian Football League', having switched from 'Victorian Football League' after 1989. Eighteen teams competed in the league, the same as the previous seven seasons. The first game was played on Thursday, 21 March, and the season concluded with the 2019 AFL Grand Final on Saturday, 28 September. Richmond defeated Greater Western Sydney by 89 points in the grand final, marking their 12th premiership.
