List of J-pop artists

This is a list of J-pop artists and groups. Originally an evolution of jazz, and coined New Music, the style went on to become known as City Pop, music with an urban theme. Later called Japan-made Pop, the term was shortened to J-pop and now encompasses a wide range of musical styles and genres. J-pop represents modern pop culture music originating from the country or musical talent of Japan.

All Stars, released on December 1, 2004 in both a normal and limited edition, the limited edition having a different cover. It reached a peak of #5 on the daily Oricon charts, lasting 7 weeks. The concept behind the song was to show the fans appreciation and celebrate Hello! Project's seventh anniversary, whilst sending a message of peace.

"Kuchibiru ni Be My Baby" is the 42nd single by the Japanese idol girl group AKB48. It was released in Japan on December 9, 2015. As of February 22, 2016, it has sold 1,041,763 copies. It was number-one on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart and was also number-one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

GirlsAward (ガールズアワード), sometimes abbreviated as GA, is a semi-annual fashion and music event held at Yoyogi National Gymnasium 1st Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the biggest fashion events in Japan, with approximately 30,000 people attending each time. It is organized by GirlsAward Inc. under the slogan "Shibuya to Asia, and the World" and sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Fuji Television. Usually, the Autumn/Winter(A/W) event is held in September to October, and the Spring/Summer(S/S) is held in March to May of each year.

GirlsAward 2015 Autumn/Winter is a fashion and music event held on October 24, 2015, at Yoyogi National Gymnasium 1st Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo Girls' Style appeared as an opening act performer. The main MCs were Ryōta Yamasato and Naomi Watanabe.

GirlsAward 2016 Autumn/Winter is a fashion and music event held on October 8, 2016, at Yoyogi National Gymnasium 1st Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. The main MCs were Minami Takahashi, Ryōta Yamasato and Yurika Mita. In this event, Nogizaka46 made their 8th appearance and became the most participants. The event was partially streamed on Line Live.
