The following is a list of educational institutions in Varanasi. Varanasi (known earlier as Benares) is a city situated on the banks of the River Ganges in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and is approximately 800 kilometers(497 miles) southeast of national capital Delhi. Varanasi is home to an Institute of Eminence, Banaras Hindu University as well as an Institute of National Importance, IIT(BHU) Varanasi.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), formerly Benares Hindu University, is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and founded in 1916. The university incorporated the Central Hindu College, which had been founded by theosophist and future Indian Home Rule leader Annie Besant in 1898. By 1911 Besant was marginalised on the governing board of the College by Madan Mohan Malviya who preferred a more traditional Hinduism with its hereditary caste system to Besant's more theosophical one. Five years later Malaviya established the university with the support of the maharaja of Darbhanga Rameshwar Singh, the maharaja of Benares Prabhu Narayan Singh, and the lawyer Sunder Lal.

Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi(IIT-BHU) is a public technical university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. It was later designated an Indian Institute of Technology in 2012. IIT (BHU) Varanasi has 16 departments, 3 inter-disciplinary schools and a Humanities & Social Sciences Section. It is located inside the Banaras Hindu University Campus.

Gandhidham, initially known as Sardarganj, located in the eastern part of Kutch district, in the state of Gujarat. It is the largest and most populous city in (Kachchh) Kutch District, Gujarat, India. It was created in the early 1950s for the resettlement of Sindhi Hindu refugees from Sindh, Pakistan, in the aftermath of the partition of India. The city was named after M K Gandhi. An economic capital of Kutch, Gandhidham is a growing area for families and retirees. According to the 2011 Census, Gandhidham is Gujarat's 8th most populous city. It is a popular destination for conventions, business, and meetings.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Maligaon is a higher secondary school located at the Maligaon area in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 1979 and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school provides education to the children of Central Government employees, especially railway employees,armed forces and paramilitary personnel. The school is run by KVS an autonomous body formed under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

Padrauna is a city and headquarter of Kushinagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the place where Rama spent a few days of his life. After passing from Padrauna, Rama reached at Ramkola where he made a hut with his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman to stay. It is situated 19 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Kushinagar International Airport. Udit Narayan Intermediate College is the biggest College in the Kushinagar district.

Rourkela is the educational, technical and medical research hub of Western Odisha. It houses many English medium schools which provide Central Board of Secondary Education and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education certificates to their students.

Varanasi is a city on the Ganges river in northern India that has a central place in the traditions of pilgrimage, death, and mourning in the Hindu world. The city has a syncretic tradition of Islamic artisanship that underpins its religious tourism. Located in the middle-Ganges valley in the southeastern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi lies on the left bank of the river. It is 692 kilometres (430 mi) to the southeast of India's capital New Delhi and 320 kilometres (200 mi) to the southeast of the state capital, Lucknow. It lies 121 kilometres (75 mi) downstream of Prayagraj, where the confluence with the Yamuna river is another major Hindu pilgrimage site.

Ahalya Chari was an Indian educationist and the first commissioner of the Kendriya Vidyalaya chain of schools, a system of education under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) India. Her efforts are recognised towards the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the MHRD, attending to the educational needs of the children of transferable central government employees. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 1983.

Kendriya Vidyalaya BHU (KV-BHU) is situated in the city of Varanasi in the campus of Banaras Hindu University. The school is affiliated to CBSE and has classes running from 1 to 12. The regional office of Varanasi Region of KVS is located in the campus of this school. The school is an integral part of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. KV BHU is an autonomous body working under aegis of Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt of India.
