This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases, specifically those acting on phosphoric monoester bonds. The systematic name is phosphatidyl-myo-inositol-4,5-bisphosphate 4-phosphohydrolase. This enzyme participates in inositol phosphate metabolism and phosphatidylinositol signaling system.
