The TCR World Ranking is a method for calculating race drivers' performance in TCR races. The ranking was established by World Sporting Consulting (WSC) Group, the global rights holder for TCR, in October 2022 and takes into account all races utilizing TCR regulations since 1 January 2021. The rankings are updated every Wednesday. [1] [2]
Ranking points obtained by a driver from a race would be calculated as follows:

The importance coefficient is determined by the series the race is held under. If a race is a part of two or more series at the same time (e.g. TCR World Tour with the host series), it will be considered as part of the series with highest coefficient for the ranking.
The participation coefficient is determined by the number of entered TCR cars in the race.

Finishing position of the race will award points according to the following scale:

Driver must be classified as finisher of the race to get points. If a car is driven by two or more drivers, all drivers get full points for their position. If a race is a part of multi-class event, position is counted relative to the TCR class.
Race points scored by TCR World Tour full time entries in World Tour events are increased by 50%.
A driver's total points is the sum of their last 20 races. If the driver doesn't take part in any TCR event for the last 30 weeks or more, one oldest race result will be dropped for every 4 weeks of inactivity.

Dirt track racing is a form of motorsport held on clay or dirt surfaced oval race tracks often used for thoroughbred horse racing. Dirt track racing started in the United States before World War I and became widespread during the 1920s and 1930s using both automobiles and motorcycles. Two different types of race cars dominate — open wheel racers in the Northeast and West and stock cars in the Midwest and South. While open wheel race cars are purpose-built racing vehicles, stock cars can be either purpose-built race cars or street vehicles that have been modified to varying degrees. There are hundreds of local and regional racetracks throughout the nation. The sport is also popular in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Esteban Guerrieri is an Argentine racing driver currently competing in the FIA TCR World Tour for the GOAT Racing Honda team. His early career in single-seaters saw him become Formula Renault Eurocup champion in 2003, finish third in Formula Renault 3.5 in 2010, and claim the runner-up spot in Indy Lights in 2011 and 2012. In the WTCR touring car series, he was the most successful driver in terms of race wins and was overall runner-up in 2019. He also won the Nürburgring 24 Hours in the TCR class in 2020.

Salvatore Tavano is an Italian racing driver. He has won the TCR Italy Touring Car Championship in 2018, 2019 and 2020, and has taken part in several seasons in the European Touring Car Championship and World Touring Car Championship.

Ryan A. Eversley is an American professional auto racing driver. He currently races the No. 07 Toyota GR GT4 Supra Evo for Precision Racing L.A. in the Pirelli GT4 America series as well as serving as Head of Driver and Racing Business Development for them and their sister team L.A. Honda World Racing. He is affectionately referred to as "The People's Champ," due to his fan interactions. From 2015 to 2023, Eversley was a Honda factory driver who primarily raced in sports car racing championships such as the Michelin Pilot Challenge and Pirelli World Challenge. He won the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge TCR championship.
Hugo Valente is a French former auto racing driver. He raced in the World Touring Car Championship for SUNRED Engineering, Campos Racing and the Lada factory team having made his debut in the series at the 2012 FIA WTCC Race of China. For 2017, he made the switch to the TCR International Series, where part way through the season he announced his retirement from motorsport. He was born in Choisy-le-Roi and is of Portuguese descent.

A TCR Touring Car is a touring car specification, first introduced in 2014 and is now employed by a multitude of series worldwide. All TCR Touring Cars are front-wheel drive cars based on 4 or 5 door production vehicles, and are powered by 1.75 to 2.0 litre turbocharged engines. While the bodyshell and suspension layout of the production vehicle is retained in a TCR car, and many models use a production gearbox, certain accommodations are made for the stresses of the racetrack including upgraded brakes and aerodynamics. Competition vehicles are subject to balance of performance (BoP) adjustments to ensure close racing between different vehicles.
The FIA World Touring Car Cup was an international touring car championship promoted by Eurosport Events and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It has had different incarnation of a World Touring Car Cup held between 1993 and 1995. Following the 2017 season, an agreement was reached for the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) to become WTCR and use the TCR technical regulations. As factory teams were not allowed to compete in WTCR, the series lost the 'World Championship' status of the WTCC, instead becoming a 'Cup'.

The TCR Middle East Touring Car Series is a touring car racing series based in the Middle East.
FIA ETCR – eTouring Car World Cup was a touring car series for electric cars. It was the first multi-brand all-electric touring car championship and in 2022 obtained the status of an official FIA series. However, in March 2023, the promoter announced that the series would not be continued.
Mason Filippi is an American auto racing driver who competes in the TCR class of the Michelin Pilot Challenge for Bryan Herta Autosport. He previously raced for Bryan Herta Autosport, finishing the Michelin Pilot Challenge in second place in 2019 and third in 2020. Filippi also piloted touring cars in the TC America Series and the Pirelli World Challenge from 2017 to 2019, finishing in the top five of the standings each season. Prior to racing touring cars, he drove Spec Miatas, competing in the Global MX-5 Cup and the Teen Mazda Challenge and winning the 25 Hours of Thunderhill race in 2015 and 2016.
Jessica Bäckman is a Swedish racing driver currently competing in the GT4 European Series for racing one. She is the sister of fellow racing driver Andreas Bäckman. Jessica Bäckman has previously raced in World Touring Car Cup where she was the first women to achieve World Cup points in the series, and she was recently crowned the Vice Champion title in ADAC TCR Germany.
The 2022 World Touring Car Cup was the fifth and final season of the World Touring Car Cup and 18th overall of the series, which dates back to the 2005 World Touring Car Championship. The season began on 7 May at the Circuit de Pau-Ville and ended on 27 November in Jeddah Corniche Circuit, however multiple event cancellations due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and ongoing quarantine restrictions in Asia. On 1 September 2022, the organiser announced the final version of the calendar, adding Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as final venues for the 2022 season.
