Whitefield is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It lies on undulating ground above the Irwell Valley, along the south bank of the River Irwell, 3 miles (4.8 km) southeast of Bury, and 5 miles (8.0 km) northwest of Manchester. Prestwich and the M60 motorway lie just to the south.

Dixon Fold railway station was built on the Manchester and Bolton Railway, between Clifton Junction railway station and Kearsley railway station, in Clifton near Pendlebury. It opened in 1841. Maps of the area from 1848 give it the name Clifton Station, which should not to be confused with the nearby Clifton railway station on Rake Lane, which opened in 1847. The station closed between 2 August 1926 and 7 March 1927, but was closed permanently on 18 May 1931. The station was demolished after closure.
The Manchester, Bury and Rossendale Railway, opened in 1846, ran between Clifton, Bury and Rossendale in Lancashire, England. The company merged with the Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington & Colne Extension Railway (BBA&CER) to form the East Lancashire Railway.
Wilton Mill, Radcliffe was a cotton spinning mill in Radcliffe, Bury, Greater Manchester. It was built in 1907 and was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. Production finished, it was used by the East Lancashire Paper Company but has now been demolished leaving an empty site next to the railways and the River Irwell.

Agecroft Bridge railway station was on the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Railway. It served the town of Pendlebury in Greater Manchester in England. It also served the former Manchester Racecourse and Agecroft area of the town.
