The American Communist Party (ACP) is a political party in the United States and Canada. The ACP formed in 2024 when its members split from the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). [11]
ACP has been described as MAGA Communist, [9] [12] [13] as notable ACP founders Jackson Hinkle and Haz Al-Din have promoted it and similar conservative communist labels since 2022. [3] [14] [15] [4] MAGA Communism has been described as anti-feminist, [8] [16] queerphobic, [8] [16] anti-woke, [5] anti-environmentalist, [8] [15] [16] pro-social services, [16] [14] pro-tax cuts, [16] [14] and pro-Donald Trump. [16] [17] ACP leaders argue that MAGA Communism is a tool to shift the American working class away from capitalism and toward communism. [14] [16] [6] [18]
ACP officially adheres to Marxist–Leninist philosophy, [3] [19] [20] and also promotes socialist patriotism. [7] The ACP aligns with the Chinese view of the Sino-Soviet split, regards the de-Stalinized Soviet Union as revisionist, [21] supports the Cultural Revolution, [6] celebrates the Chinese economic reforms, [6] and upholds Xi Jinping Thought. [4] [5] [6] [22] ACP and its leaders support China, North Korea, Iran, [23] [4] Nicaragua, [24] Venezuela, [16] and the Russian "Special Military Operation", [25] [26] stating that "today, as 80 years ago [in 1945 as the Soviet Union], Russia remains at the forefront of the world liberation movement". [27]
Prior to 2022, one of the ACP leaders, Jackson Hinkle, was a "Bernie Bro". [16] [28] Another ACP leader, Infrared streamer Haz Al-Din, previously supported the Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns, but did not vote for them; [8] he also held Western Marxist and Bordigist views before embracing Marxism–Leninism. [29] [13] From 2022 to 2024, a group of self-described anti-revisionist Marxist–Leninists led by Haz Al-Din attempted to join and remake the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), in order to "reclaim" CPUSA from "liberals, federal agents and Democrats". [8]
In May 2024, CPUSA's 32nd National Convention passed Resolution 5, which supported a "broad front to defeat Trump, Trumpism, and the MAGA Republicans". [30] Both the MAGA Communist and Maoist Unity–Struggle–Unity factions opposed the resolution. [31] Al-Din's group opposed CPUSA's support for the Democrats and claimed that CPUSA had violated democratic centralism by suppressing opposition and limiting debate over Resolution 5. [19]
In July 2024, the Infrared-led group split from the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and created the American Communist Party (ACP). [11] [32] [9] [19] ACP described itself as "[a] reconstitution of the Communist Party USA", which had rejected Marxism–Leninism and embraced "allegiance to the Democratic Party". [19] Founders included Jackson Hinkle, [9] [33] Haz Al-Din, [9] and former Party of Communists USA (PCUSA) leader and International Freedom Battalion volunteer Christopher Helali. [19] ACP has since positioned itself as a patriotic alternative to CPUSA. [23] [9] ACP was founded as "[a] 'MAGA communist' splinter from the old Stalinist US Communist Party". [13]
Al-Din was never a CPUSA member. [18] Prior to the ACP split, Hinkle claimed that CPUSA had expelled him. [34] CPUSA leadership claimed that Hinkle had never joined CPUSA, beyond signing up for their newsletter, and that Hinkle did not reflect CPUSA values. [34]
ACP claimed that 26 CPUSA and PCUSA clubs had changed their affiliations to the new party. [32] Reportedly, the split claimed the majority of some CPUSA clubs. [11] CPUSA leadership denied this, [32] [35] and 10 CPUSA clubs listed in ACP's founding declaration denied signing it on their official social media accounts. [32] [36] In response, ACP claimed "these accounts are controlled by individuals acting on behalf of the [Joe] Sims clique, not by authentic representatives of the clubs". [32] Julia Steinberg later wrote in The Free Press that the ACP "boasts the support of more than thirty CPUSA clubs and cells" across the United States. [9]
Prior to the official founding of the party, in April 2024, ACP's think tank, the Institute for a Free America, had hosted the Free America to Free Palestine event in Dearborn, Michigan, which attracted controversy for its unique mixture of anti-Zionist, pro-Russia, and MAGA rhetoric. [37] [38]
In August 2024, ACP joined the World Anti-Imperialist Platform (WAP). [10] On August 3, 2024, ACP representatives attended a symposium on Hegelianism in Crown Heights hosted by Haela Hunt-Hendrix. [13]
In November 2024, in Orange County, Vermont, ACP International Secretary Christopher Helali won a write-in campaign for high bailiff, [17] [39] a largely ceremonial position, [40] with 5% turnout. [41] [42] At the time of his election, Helali was the only member of a communist party who held elected office in the US, [17] [39] as CPUSA member Denise Winebrenner Edwards and Socialist Alternative member Kshama Sawant both left office in January 2024; [43] [44] CPUSA candidates would later win elections in November 2025 as members of the Democratic Party and as nonpartisans. [45] [46] The Workers' Cause Party (WCP), a Brazilian Trotskyist party, congratulated ACP on the election of Helali as a high bailiff, calling it a "historic achievement for the American left". Despite ACP's Stalinism and WCP's Trotskyism, WCP calls ACP its "sister organization". [47]
In October 2025, ACP Chairman Haz Al-Din was interviewed by China Daily , during which he echoed conspiracy theories about Jeffrey Epstein, accusing the United States government of being controlled by the "Epstein network" which only "serves the interests of a small private cabal". Al-Din argued in the interview that the Western media demonizes China as it is not under the control of the Epstein network-led ruling class and as a distraction from a declining standard of living in the West. [48]
The following month, on November 14, 2025, Valley News reported that Helali was in the possession of Jeffrey Epstein's address book, which confirmed Epstein's connections to former U.S. presidents, Israeli prime ministers, members of the British royal family, and Saudi Arabian officials. Helali stated that "Donald Trump’s entry in this book is enormous, for example, and his name is highlighted", and that the book "shows a layer of relations that the current president wants to distance himself from". [49] Helali's possession of the book was revealed before by Business Insider in 2021; Business Insider hired a forensic expert who found that the book dates back to mid-1990s and had not been altered. [50]
ACP identifies as a Marxist–Leninist party, [19] [20] adhering to an ideology the party refers to as the "Unified Tendency of Marxism–Leninism". [20] [6] In a 2025 ACP explainer video, Chairman Haz Al-Din stated that ACP regards Xi Jinping Thought "as the latest synthesis of Marxism–Leninism", descending from Deng Xiaoping and Mao Zedong's contributions. [6] ACP defends Joseph Stalin and Stalinism, [9] has been described as neo-Stalinist, [51] and cites "Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao" in its declaration. In contrast, CPUSA does not mention Stalin or Mao in its program. [52] The ACP criticizes Nikita Khrushchev's de-Stalinization, seeing it as historical nihilism and a significant factor in collapse of the USSR. It regards Xi Jinping Thought as "the most advanced comprehensive development of Marxism-Leninism to date", considering it a necessary update to Deng Xiaoping Thought; Al-Din argued that while the party acknowledges Deng's contributions to Marxism, Deng also "presented many problems, such as the ecological pollution, corruption, and wealth inequality", which had to be corrected. [53] ACP states that communists must oppose "fascist tyranny", "racist nationalism" and "authoritarian repression". [54]
ACP's political position is disputed. Some publications and commentators consider ACP and its broader movement to contain both left-wing and right-wing elements: The Free Press described the ACP as "a new branch of the radical right that sticks ideas from the left and the right into a blender". [9] The China Media Project argued that Hinkle combines "right-wing nationalism and nativism" with the "far-left authoritarianism of the Chinese Communist Party". [4] Russian ultranationalist political philosopher Aleksandr Dugin described Hinkle and Al-Din as "allies of conservative Tucker Carlson", "Marxists who support Trump", and "committed to dismantling liberal dominance". [8] Kathleen Hayes, a researcher of Marxist and antisemitic movements, described ACP as sympathetic to "Middle Eastern jihadism" and seeking to forge a "red–green alliance" with Islamists. [3] Ben Cohen of The Jewish Exponent described the party as both "ultra-Stalinist" and "deeply antisemitic". [55] The Charnel-House described MAGA Communists as "post-fascist Stalinists" but "not fascists proper". [13] Mundiario described MAGA Communists as "communist conservatives" who "mix Marxism-Leninism with Trumpist nationalism" to attract the working class to communism. [56]
Some publications and commentators describe ACP and its broader movement as leftist: The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles states that while some "describe Hinkle and his co-thinkers as right or far-right," the ACP members "really are creatures of the left". [3] Katéchon described the ACP as a representative of the "Marxist left", arguing that "it is in no way a 'fascist,' 'far right,' or 'ambiguous' party". [2] Trevor Loudon criticized the portrayal of Hinkle as "a fellow traveler [of conservatives] rather than the Marxist he is". [57] Cuadernos de Educación described Hinkle and the MAGA Communist movement as part of the "red segments on the left", noting the movement's adherence to Stalinism and ties with the Venezuelan government. [58] Chinese professor Wen Tiejun favorably compared MAGA Communism to Chinese communism: "Many find it perplexing: how can MAGA be combined with communism? [....] What is MAGA? In essence, it is nationalism. Consider the Communist Party of China's struggle against Japanese invaders – was it mobilising the masses through communist ideology and theory? No, it relied precisely on nationalism." [59] L'Antidiplomatico defends ACP as a Marxist party, [60] describing its critics as "purity fetishists", and claimed ACP's MAGA Communism was proven successful by the "crisis" among Trump supporters "after his clear turn toward warmongering and support for financial capital". [12]
Some publications and commentators describe ACP and its broader movement as rightist: Yanis Varoufakis labelled Al-Din and Hinkle "neofascists". [61] [60] Alexander Reid Ross accused MAGA Communism of having "a far-right agenda placed in an anti-imperialist environment", [14] with a "vitriolic, terminally online, troll culture". [8] Richard Wolff likened the MAGA Communism name to Hitler's National Socialists: If "you want to get supporters" for your political movement when "socialism is attracting more and more interest", then you might "grab at hold at least of the name", even though MAGA is "fundamentally hostile" to socialism. [8] [62] Communist Party USA, from which ACP split, alleges that the ACP's ideology is influenced by "Russian National Bolshevism" and that it promotes a "red–brown alliance". [35] The pro-Israel and Anti-German newspaper Jungle World alleged Al-Din to be "not left, not right, but fascist". [63]
ACP has been described as MAGA Communist, as notable ACP founders Jackson Hinkle and Haz Al-Din have promoted it since 2022. [3] [9] [17] [14] [15] [4] MAGA Communism is a conservative communist ideology [3] [9] [17] which "cast[s] issues such as transgender rights, the climate crisis and racial justice as neoliberal distractions". [8] Al-Din stated that he started the MAGA Communism movement to reject an American left "out of touch with actual working people" and associated with alternative sexualities and a lack of patriotism. [8]
ACP leaders argue that MAGA Communism is or was a tool to shift the American working class away from capitalism and toward communism. [14] [16] [6] [18] ACP education secretary Carlos L. Garrido, speaking to the Domenico Losurdo Study Center, described MAGA Communism as "a vehicle for viralization" and "simply communism — that is, a communism adapted to the unique conditions of the American class struggle". Garrido argued that "the MAGA working class showed every sign of being ready to be conquered by struggle", so MAGA Communists worked to "show MAGA that they could only make America great again, not through Trump and the two-party duopoly, but through communism". [64] However, Daniel Vitar of LM Neuquén argues that this effort ultimately yielded a "strange political group that brings together people who hate feminism, environmentalism, and the LGBTQ+ movement". [16]
ACP leader Jackson Hinkle clarified that ACP supports MAGA voters rather than Donald Trump, arguing that "MAGA is now surpassing Trump" and "if Trump does bad things, they'll abandon his own movement". He added: "That's why I didn't vote for Trump. I didn't support Trump. But I think the MAGA movement is very interesting". [5] Similarly, Haz Al-Din argues that Trump has "irreversibly changed US politics" in a way that makes an alliance between "voters who previously didn't speak to each other" possible. According to Haz Al-Din, while Trump is anti-communist, by attracting working class and anti-establishment voters and questioning the dogmas of "political correctness" and globalization, he created a movement that can "achieve more left-wing transformations than the left itself". Al-Din states that communists must choose between remaining in "ideologically pure but irrelevant spaces, subjugated by wokism", or "taint themselves with the real contradictions of contemporary America". [65]
ACP's program calls for the nationalization of large corporations; the cancellation of all debts; abolition of the U.S. Federal Reserve in favor of a "People's National Bank"; "AI-driven national economic planning"; "the abolition of the University-Industrial Complex"; a right to refuse medical interventions; an end to "mass immigration" in favor of "population exchanges on a rational and planned basis"; and a moratorium on genetically modified food pending a “comprehensive investigation”. [66] ACP supports and upholds Socialism with Chinese characteristics, and postulates an analogical model of Socialism with American characteristics, which would adapt to the "nation's history, our values, and ultimately, create a communist order unique to the United States". [5] It also supports socialist patriotism. [7]
ACP is socially conservative. [9] [14] ACP rejects and criticizes "woke culture" [5] and declares that "Marxism is not woke". [67] In 2022, ACP founder Hinkle argued: "Communism and Marxism historically have been conservative [...] It's a new era in the West that made it adhere to liberal-leftist values. This is not true Marxism. It's Marxism funded by George Soros". [15] The Communist Party of the Russian Federation stated that ACP "relies strictly on class struggle, rather than on 'identity politics' – the so-called gender, race, and sexual struggles that are so popular today in America and Western Europe." [68]
Al-Din argues that his political movement is not against women, but opposes the "effeminization" of men, [8] while Hinkle stated he would "protect our youth from trans terrorists and propagandists". [8] [9] Hinkle also wrote: "The US celebrates 'Pride Month' on June 1st. America is run by pedophiles, [while] Russia celebrates International Day for the Protection of Children on June 1st". [9] ACP opposed Cuba's legalization of gay marriage. [17] Hinkle's personal list of political demands included banning "ANTIFA street terrorism", introducing "patriotic education", pardoning participants in the January 6 Capitol attack, and "deporting" the Bush family, Clinton family, Barack Obama, Mike Pompeo, and John Bolton to the International Criminal Court. [9] At the same time, Hinkle and Haz Al-Din argue that "the most absurd aspects of wokism" were intentionally designed to prop up the "dissident right", cautioning that this right is "‘dissident’ only in the most superficial and empty sense of the dominant order." [69]
ACP leaders have described America as "occupied by" a Zionist "international monopoly cartel", [63] and argued that the American working class must ally with the MAGA movement to fight "globalists" like George Soros. [15] [4]
While the ACP views modern American communist parties, like the CPUSA, as revisionist, it upholds historical CPUSA leaders like William Z. Foster and Gus Hall. ACP chairman Haz Al-Din dubbed Foster an "American Bolshevik, whose Communist convictions were deeply rooted in the American national context", [22] and looks to emulate his leadership. Al-Din credits Hall with running the CPUSA independently of the Democratic Party and with resisting Eurocommunist tendencies within the American communist movement. [22] In contrast to the CPUSA, [70] the ACP views Franklin D. Roosevelt not as a progressive figure in American history but rather as someone who "broke with the orthodoxies of free-market ideologues to save [American] capitalism" and as a Trump-like figure who developed a "new form of American imperialism". [69]
ACP is a second campist party that strongly supports an anti-imperialist "multipolar axis" against Western imperialism, financial capitalism, and globalism. [23] [4] ACP chairman Al-Din argues that "all nations today" must choose between "obedience to the ruling financial capitalist class or sovereign, national development". [71] In an interview with the Yevgeny Prigozhin-backed United World International website, [72] Al-Din stated: "The [main] problem [in the world] is what Michael Hudson calls Super-Imperialism, a system in which the United States acts as both creditor and debtor in the global economic system". [73]
ACP's program calls for the "unconditional destruction of NATO". [66] In opposition to NATO and the West, ACP supports an "axis" including Russia, [23] [74] North Korea, [23] Hezbollah and Iran, [23] Hamas, [23] the Houthis, [75] Nicaragua, [24] Venezuela, [16] the People's Republic of China and Chinese Communist Party, [8] [4] Haitian resistance led by Jimmy Chérizier, [76] and the Irish Republican Army. [5] [77]
ACP opposes U.S. support for Ukraine. [16] The ACP supports Russian forces in the Russo-Ukrainian War, arguing that Ukraine represents the legacy of fascism while the Russian Federation follows the legacy of the Soviet Union in providing assistance to socialist and developing countries. [78] ACP stated that the people's militias of Donbass "embody the American traditions of fighting for freedom". [79] The ACP asserts its full support for the Russian "Special Military Operation" and has provided humanitarian aid to Donbass "to make the lives of people there better and help them fight NATO aggression". [25] [26] In May 2025, together with the Left Front, ACP made a declaration that "today, as 80 years ago, Russia remains at the forefront of the world liberation movement". [27] ACP further stated: "The ongoing Special Military Operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine is the main epicenter of the modern anti-fascist struggle. The multi-vector policy of the Russian Federation, aimed at overthrowing Western globalist hegemony and building a new, just world order – such a policy corresponds to the spirit of the Great Victory and should be supported by progressive left forces around the world." [27]
ACP is anti-Zionist and opposes U.S. support for Israel. [3] [63] ACP supports an independent Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. [80] ACP "does not recognize the illegitimate entity called Israel", calling it "the Zionist project, whose fascist character has long been evident to the world" which "has always been fundamentally contrary to the historical process by which nations acquire legitimate and authentic existence". ACP calls for Palestinian independence, stating that the Palestinian struggle "is closely linked to the struggle for sovereignty and self-determination at the global level". [81]
ACP supports the annexation of Canada into one Pan-American "United Republic".[ citation needed ]
In July 2024, immediately after its foundation, ACP signed a friendship treaty with North Korea as well as with the Georgian Communist Party, concluding the treaty at the house where Stalin was born in Gori, Georgia. [67]
In December 2024, ACP sent 55 boxes of humanitarian aid to Donbass. [82]
In January 2025, Hinkle interviewed Romanian politician Călin Georgescu, who finished first in the annulled 2024 Romanian presidential election. [83] [84] Hinkle praised Georgescu as "the man who leads the fight for sovereignty, Western values and Christianity, who wants to stop World War III"; [85] he condemned annulment of the election as a "coup orchestrated by Sorosist globalists and NATO that blocked the campaign". [86] Hinkle then interviewed George Simion, the leader of Alliance for the Union of Romanians whom Georgescu, who was banned from running, endorsed in the 2025 Romanian presidential election. [86]
In February 2025, ACP met with the representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) and Russian Left Front. [87] ACP and the KPRF provided a diesel generator, food, medicine, and equipment for Russian forces in Donbass. [88]
In April 2025, ACP representatives attended the KPRF's 2nd Anti-Fascist Forum in Moscow, Russia. [89]
In July 2024, ACP congratulated Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and recognized him as the legitimate victor of the 2024 Venezuelan presidential election in which ACP founder Jackson Hinkle served as an international observer. [58] It argued that the efforts to challenge the election's result are "part of the hybrid war against Venezuela" and that "Washington failed to change the government in Venezuela". ACP International Secretary Christopher Helali stated: "I was an observer at the previous elections and I can say that the people understood: Maduro’s party will defend the dignity and sovereignty of the country, and the opposition linked to the United States will sell the country. And they chose to be faithful to the ideals of Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez, chose independence". [90]
On October 22, 2025, ACP International Secretary Christopher Helali spoke at the 9th International Anti-imperialist Conference in Caracas, hosted by the World Anti-Imperialist Platform (WAP) and United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). [91]
On July 27, 2024, Helali met with the representatives of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF). The PPSF representatives praised the ACP for its "intellectual and political identity" and "its principled positions in support of the Palestinian cause and all just causes in the world", while Helali affirmed ACP's support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with capital in Jerusalem. [80]
In February 2025, ACP leaders Helali, Al-Din, and Hinkle attended the funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, the third Secretary-General of Hezbollah. [3] [92] [93] ACP leaders praised Nasrallah as a "hero of the revolutionary forces and freedom-loving peoples around the world". [94]
In March 2025, on International Quds Day, party founder Jackson Hinkle gave a speech at Al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa, Yemen, during which he pledged ACP's support to the cause of the Houthi movement and decried the "terrorist attacks" carried out by the United States against Yemen. [75] Reporting on the speech, Hrvatska radiotelevizija called Hinkle "the most famous American communist today". [75] Christopher Helali and Hinkle were also speakers at a Houthi-organized conference in Sanaa on Palestine, where along with other guests as Adil Abdul-Mahdi, Zwelivelile Mandela, Clare Daly, and Mick Wallace, ACP leaders called for the liberation of Palestine. Upon returning to the United States, Helali was briefly detained by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection; Foreign Policy wrote that the incident resulted in Helali "further cementing his credentials". [95]
In July 2025, Hinkle participated in the 2025 Eastern Mediterranean Black Sea Conference, meeting with Doğu Perinçek, the chairman of Turkey's Patriotic Party. [96] At the conference, Hinkle announced the partnership of the American Communist Party with the Patriotic Party, stating: "We are delighted to partner with the Patriotic Party. You have the power to silence and stop imperialist power. The Islamic world will unite against Israel, and the West will stand against Israel. The revolutionary tradition embedded in Türkiye's history is an example for the region. Similarly, if all the forces fighting imperialism come together, as Khomeini did, Russia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will defeat imperialism." [97]

The group's intellectual, such as it is, heft seems to come from Al-Din, the ACP's Executive Chairman and the force behind the YouTube show Infrared. Al-Din is apparently the source of the seemingly-paradoxical ideology—"MAGA communism"—for which he and Hinkle are known. The "MAGA" reference is enough for many commentators to describe Hinkle and his co-thinkers as "right" or "far-right," but although the group orients to Trump's working-class following, these really are creatures of the left. They call themselves "Marxist-Leninists," brandish a modified hammer-and-sickle symbol, denounce Democrats and Republicans, and invoke proletarian causes and history and Marxist theory.
At an event announcing a new think tank [the Institute for a Free America] earlier this year, "MAGA communism" founder Haz Al-Din explained that America is failing because it is run by "a small cartel of American capitalists" who represent "foreign interests." [....] The ideology he espouses is a chimera born of two seemingly irreconcilable belief systems: the right-wing nationalism and nativism espoused by former US President Donald Trump — represented by his campaign slogan "Make American Great Again" — and the ostensibly far-left authoritarianism of the Chinese Communist Party.
Party Ideology: [....] But basically, the official ideology of the American Communist Party is something we've called "Marxism–Leninism Unified Tendency". What the Unified Tendency basically means is that it's a specific interpretation of the synthesis of Marxism–Leninism that is made on the basis of practical historical contributions to the implementation of the principles and methods of Marxism and Leninism across history. So in general, we regard the sinicization of Marxism up to Xi Jinping Thought as legitimate. So when it comes to the Sino-Soviet split, we share the Chinese criticism of revisionism. We uphold even Mao's Cultural Revolution. We simultaneously recognize the significance and contribution of Deng Xiaoping's Reform and Opening Up. And finally, Xi Jinping Thought is something we regard as the latest synthesis of Marxism–Leninism. [....] MAGA Communism is not, in fact, the official ideology of the party.
They subscribe to social conservatism in a way that appeals to the growing numbers of gen Z males who believe feminism is harmful to men, and cast issues such as transgender rights, the climate crisis and racial justice as neoliberal distractions. [....] Reid Ross says Hinkle and Al-Din occupy an overlap in the left-right venn diagram that is probably rooted in an "anti-imperialist" ecosystem that has proliferated online in the last decade.
The vanguard of this new group is not old-school far-left types, but far-right influencers. The American Communist Party Plenary Committee is, per its long-winded "declaration," composed of ten men. [....] The ACP is the extreme proof-of-concept for a new branch of the radical right that sticks ideas from the left and the right into a blender and comes out with something very weird—and dark.
The MAGA Communists exist, even if they are full of histrionic contradictions. They support Trump, who paradoxically wants to ban Marxists from entering the country. [....] They pursue a communist future — one that subsidizes state services — but they also champion tax cuts. [....] MAGA Communists say they don't fully agree with Trump's political vision. But addressing the working class through him, they explain, is the only way to channel working-class militancy away from capitalism and towards a communist future. The result is a strange and marginal alliance that includes people who hate feminism, environmentalism and the LGBTQI+ movements. [....] Ultimately, MAGA Communism, Reid Ross notes, is "a far-right agenda placed in an anti-imperialist environment."
Together, they decry the "vulgarization" of Marxism by Western liberals, traffic in the language of "deep-state" conspiracies, and mock "planet worshippers," dismissing modern climate change efforts as virtue-signaling "green fascism" backed by corporate entities. [....] It's not surprising that the swirl of social conservatism, patriotism and subversive energy that inform "MAGA Communism" have been criticized as a repackaging of fascist ideals of yore. [....] "Communism and Marxism historically have been conservative. It's a new era in the West that made it adhere to liberal-leftist values. This is not true Marxism. It's Marxism funded by George Soros," Hinkle told OANN host Addison Smith on Sept. 19, evoking the name of the billionaire and target of countless antisemitic conspiracy theories.
MAGA communism is a slogan. It's an analysis. It's an overall strategic perspective which is based on the idea that the MAGA movement in 2016 marks – and especially Trump's election marks – a new chapter in the history of American politics and requires that communists in this country need to gain a new perspective. They've kind of just been out of touch from the American working class for a very long time. They've lacked any kind of basis or justification for even being relevant. And the MAGA movement or MAGA is reorienting politics not just in America, but you could argue on a global level. There's this tendency for politics to be refocused toward the question of national sovereignty, toward the question of more national specificity, you know, after this era of so-called globalism. [....] This makes MAGA a viable basis from which to rearticulate the relevancy of communism in the new age. [....] For all of the mainstream communists, historically, of course you put your own nation's workers first. You put the workers of the nation you live in first because that is the basis – that is the context in which communism can develop. It has to be a national context. It has to assume a national form. [....] I never formally applied for membership, but I told my followers as soon as I gained even a little bit of relevancy online to join the Communist Party USA.
{{cite web}}: CS1 maint: bot: original URL status unknown (link)Gorbachev's revisionism delivered the final blow to the party, which became a fully liberal, bourgeois party, totally assimilating to the Democrats. It has no social base to speak of. For a long time, it was just completely irrelevant, spending all of its time promoting Democrat electoral campaigns even while nobody listened to it.
However, following the public release of the declaration, several clubs listed have responded on social media, pushing back against their inclusion and stating they were listed without consent. [....] In addition to the Philadelphia and Albany clubs, the Southeast Los Angeles club, which was also listed, made a statement.
Denise Edwards, who is serving the final year of a council tenure that goes back to 1998, said raising income taxes is 'not on the table' and she has heard no related discussions. 'We're focused on expanding the tax base' instead, she said.
You can see this with the most bizarre version of online neo-Stalinism which is "MAGA Communism" and the so-called American Communist Party.
Among the thousands of Hezbollah supporters in attendance were a few dozen activists from Western countries, some of whom were questioned by their respective police forces upon their return. According to a list compiled by the Middle East Media Research Institute, their number included Canadian passport holders Charlotte Kates and Khaled Barakat of the now-proscribed terrorist organization Samidoun, which raises support for the motley crew of Palestinian rapists and murderers held in Israeli jails; Irish activists Tadhg Hickey and Tara O'Grady, two leading lights of their country's influential antisemitic, pro-Hamas lobby; and the heads of the ultra-Stalinist, deeply antisemitic American Communist Party in the form of Jackson Hinkle and Christopher Helali.
MAGA(Make America Great Again,让美国再伟大)共产主义"。
Nothing new here, of course: Fascists always pretended to embrace antisystemic ideas – until they gained power & went into bed with the establishment.
Is there some redefinition, some change going on in communism, that might make it somehow a partner of right-wing, fascistic, or other right side of the aisle movements? [....] If you're a political movement and you want to get supporters at a time when socialism is attracting more and more interest, well, you might be tempted to grab at hold at least of the name. The fact that Mr. Hitler took the name socialist fooled very few people in Germany. It didn't make much difference. And the very people he began working with who were interested in socialism were ejected from the Nazi party, often with violence, in the years later on in the 1920s. So don't be fooled by MAGA Communism. Yes, it's a clever putting together of things that don't fit. It will get you some attention for a while, but there's nothing in Mr. Trump or the MAGA movement that is anything other than fundamentally hostile to almost everything that socialism has meant or could mean.
Just over a half century ago, the FDR administration created the New Deal, as a policy of progressive legislation that also put millions to work building our nation's bridges, dams, electric system, schools, parks, water/sewer systems, housing. The people also won passage of Social Security and the Wagner Act, which legalized our labor movement, as well as many other progressive laws and programs.
The goal of the American Empire is to subjugate, enslave, and destroy people. It can do this quickly, as in Libya and Iraq, or it can do it slowly, through economic warfare or cultural destruction. Complete obedience to the ruling financial capitalist class or sovereign, national development. This is the choice for all nations today. Türkiye has no need to emulate America or the West. For centuries, Türkiye was the envy of the entire European world. It has surpassed them in culture, technology, science, and economy. The West, due to its own arrogance, will never accept Türkiye. Trying to resist this reality is a great national humiliation. [...] There is no safety, security, or dignity in being a vassal of the American Empire. There is no pragmatism in it either.
