Camphor is a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Arts District neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, United States. [2] [3] [4] According to Variety , the business "marries French technique with South Asian influences". [5]
Camphor replaced Nightshade which previously occupied the space.
The restaurant's cuisine was created by chefs Max Boonthanakit, who was previously the pastry chef at Nightshade, and Lijo George, who met each other while working at the Michelin-starred Blue in Bangkok and had both trained under Alain Ducasse. [6]
Lijo George departed in August 2024 to open Eylan, a Cal-Indian restaurant in Menlo Park, California.
