Facilities

The station is unstaffed and facilities are limited. The station has a shelter on each platform as well modern help points and bicycle storage. The station has no ticket machines and the full range of tickets can be purchased from the guard on board the train.

The station also has a large 58 space car park which opened in May 2014 to help boost passenger numbers at the station. [17]

Step-free access is available to both the platforms at Collingham. [18]

Services

All services at Collingham are operated by East Midlands Railway. [19]

Trains are frequent throughout the day and, according to local media, it is the second most-used station on the Nottingham-Lincoln line, after Newark Castle. [20] In December 2008, the station had its most frequent service ever. [21]

The station is generally served by an hourly service southbound to Leicester via Nottingham and northbound to Lincoln. One train every two hours continues beyond Lincoln to Grimsby Town, with a limited service continuing further to Cleethorpes. The station is also served by five trains per day between Lincoln and Newark North Gate. [22]

The station is also served by two trains per day to and one train per day from London St Pancras International which are operated using a Class 222 Meridian.

A roughly hourly service also serves the station on Sundays although services run only as far as Nottingham and do not serve stations to Leicester. There are no services to London on Sundays.
