DuPage Township is located in Will County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 87,793 and it contained 28,861 housing units making it the most populous township in the county. [4] Like the county of the same name which it borders on the north, this township is named after the DuPage River.
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.77 square miles (95.2 km2), of which 36.26 square miles (93.9 km2) (or 98.61%) is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) (or 1.36%) is water. [4]

Batavia Township is in Kane County, Illinois. It is divided by the Fox River. As of the 2010 census, its population was 35,221 and it contained 12,892 housing units. The western part of the United States Department of Energy's Fermilab is at the township's eastern edge, although most of the facility is in neighboring Winfield Township in DuPage County.

This population increased, and in 2024, its estimated to be at 10,401.The northwestern corner of the Cook County panhandle, it is the county's northwesternmost township.
