<span class="mw-page-title-main">Imran Khan</span> Former Pakistani cricketer and former prime minister (born 1952)

Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer who served as the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan from August 2018 until April 2022. He is the founder and former chairman of the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from 1996 to 2023. He was the captain of the Pakistan national cricket team throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rashid Latif</span> Pakistani cricketer

Rashid Latif, is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer who played for the Pakistan national cricket team in Tests and One Day Internationals from 1992 to 2003 as a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. He also served as the captain of the Pakistan team in 2003, leading the country in 6 Test and 25 one-day matches.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Inzamam-ul-Haq</span> Pakistani cricketer

Syed Inzamam-ul-Haq SI, also known as Inzi, is a former Pakistan cricketer and captain of Pakistan national cricket team. He is regarded as one of the great players Pakistan has produced and one of the best middle-order batsmen of all time. He was the former chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team before resigning in 2023. He was a part of the Pakistani squad which won the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ijaz Ahmed (cricketer, born 1968)</span> Pakistani cricketer

Ijaz Ahmed is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer who played 60 Test matches and 250 One Day Internationals for Pakistan from 1986 to 2001. He was a part of the Pakistani squad which won the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">County Cricket Ground, Hove</span> Cricket ground in East Sussex, England

The County Cricket Ground, known for sponsorship reasons as The1st Central County Ground, is a cricket venue in Hove, in the city of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, England. The County Ground is the home of Sussex County Cricket Club, where most Sussex home matches since 1872 have been played, although many other grounds in Sussex have been used. Sussex CCC continue to play some of their games away from The County Ground, at either Arundel Castle or Horsham. It is one of the few county grounds to have deckchairs for spectators, in the Sussex CCC colours of blue and white, and was the first cricket ground to install permanent floodlights, for day/night cricket matches and the second ground to host a day/night match in England, in 1997.

Syed Khalid Wazir was a Pakistani cricketer who played in two Test matches in 1954.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Younis Khan</span> Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer

Mohammad Younis Khan PP SI is a Pakistani professional cricket coach and former cricketer and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team in all three formats of the game, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest middle-order batsmen in Test cricket. Khan is the only Test cricketer in the history of the game to score a century in all 11 countries that have hosted Test matches. Younis Khan was a member of the Pakistan cricket team that won the Asia cup in 2012.Under his Captaincy Pakistan won the 2009 World Twenty20.

Ahmad Shehzad is a Pakistani international cricketer.

The Pakistani community of London consist of Pakistani emigrants and their descendants who have settled in London, the capital city of England and the United Kingdom. Pakistanis in London form the largest concentrated community of British Pakistanis; immigration from regions which now form Pakistan predate Pakistan's independence.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohammad Amir</span> Pakistani cricketer (born 1992)

Mohammad Amir is a Pakistani cricketer who is playing for the Pakistan national cricket team. He is a left-arm fast bowler and a left handed batsman. He retired from international cricket in 2020 aged 28 but on 24 March 2024 he took his retirement back and made himself available for the Pakistan cricket team. He was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

Azhar Ali (Urdu: اظہر علی; born 19 February 1985) is a Pakistani former international cricketer. He is former captain of ODI and test side of Pakistan national team.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Shan Masood</span> Pakistani cricketer (born 1989)

Shan Masood Khan, also spelled as Shaan Masood, is a Pakistani international cricketer and the current captain of the Pakistan Test cricket team. He plays for, and is the captain of, Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Karachi Kings. He is a left-handed batsman and an occasional right-arm medium-fast bowler.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Family of Imran Khan</span>

The family of Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, is a prominent Pakistani family active in politics and sports. It was formerly the First Family of Pakistan. Imran Khan was born on 5 October 1952 in Lahore to father Ikramullah Khan Niazi, a civil engineer, and mother Shaukat Khanum. He grew up as the only son in the family, with four sisters. Paternally, Khan belongs to the Niazi Pashtun tribe which has long been settled in Mianwali in northwestern Punjab. Khan's mother hailed from the Burki Pashtun tribe settled in Jalandhar, Punjab, which emigrated a few centuries ago from South Waziristan in the tribal areas of northwest Pakistan. Khan's maternal family has produced several great cricketers, the most prominent of whom are Jahangir Khan, Javed Burki and Majid Khan.

British Pakistanis are Britons or residents of the United Kingdom whose ancestral roots lie in Pakistan. This includes people born in the UK who are of Pakistani descent, Pakistani-born people who have migrated to the UK and those of Pakistani origin from overseas who migrated to the UK.
