This list comprises Toyota's manufacturing facilities worldwide, as well as others that are jointly owned by the company or run under a contract. [1]

There are a total of sixteen Toyota-owned factories in Japan. [2] [3] All but three of these are located in or near Toyota City, while the others are located in Kyushu, Hokkaido and northern Honshu.

  • Toyota de Venezuela, C.A (TDV), Cumana, Sucre State. This Plant located in the northeast of Venezuela, previously produces Corolla, Hilux, and Fortuner. Also formerly a large maker of Land Cruiser 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 series, and 4Runner.

  • Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) – Prospecton, Durban – Corolla, Corolla Cross, Fortuner, Quantum, Hilux and an assortment of Hino Trucks. Assembly began in 1962, by Motor Assemblies who also built Volvos and Ramblers. [31] Their Durban plant was opened in 1970, but they had been assembled for several years already. The Stout was the first Toyota available in South Africa, beginning in 1961.

FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (FTMC), previously named Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (TFTM), is an automobile manufacturing company based in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China. It is a manufacturing and supervising affiliate of the joint venture between Toyota Motor Company and First Automobile Works, and commonly known as FAW Toyota.

Toyota Australia is an Australian subsidiary of the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota. It markets Toyota products and manages motorsport, advertising and business operations for Toyota in Australia. It is also responsible for Lexus vehicles in Australia.

Indus Motor Company Limited, operating as Toyota Indus, is a Pakistani automobile manufacturer which is a subsidiary of Japanese multinational automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. It is based in Karachi, Pakistan.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (TKM) is an Indian joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (89%) and Kirloskar Group (11%), for the manufacture and sales of Toyota cars in India. The headquarters are located in Bidadi, Karnataka, near Bengaluru.

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd. (UMWT) is the appointed Toyota distributor, assembler and exporter of Toyota vehicles in Malaysia. The company was founded in October 1982 as Sejati Motor, prior to being renamed UMW Toyota Motor in October 1987.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kuozui Motors</span> Taiwanese manufacturing company

Kuozui Motors is a Taiwanese manufacturing company that builds Toyotas under license for the domestic market. It began as a co-ownership of Hino Motors and Hotai Motor. The corporation was spun off and became independent in the 1980s. Toyota still invests heavily in the corporation's production sector, expanding Taiwanese plants.

Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. (TMT) is the wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation in Thailand, established in 1962. In 1979, Toyota began making pressed body parts in Thailand. In 1989, TMT began manufacturing engines locally. TMT controls the manufacturing of Toyota cars in Thailand and they supply cars to various official dealers throughout Thailand. TMT's main export market is the ASEAN region and the Oceania, but TMT also export cars to different parts of the world, especially the Toyota Hilux Vigo model. As of April 2016, there were 150 official Toyota dealers with 455 showrooms approved by TMT.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Toyota K CVT transmission</span> Motor vehicle

The Toyota K CVT transmission is a series of continuously variable transmissions (CVT) found in many Toyota and Lexus automobiles. The transmissions are manufactured for the company by Aisin, an automotive parts manufacturer that is part of the Toyota Group of companies. A CVT is a type of automatic transmission that can change seamlessly through a continuous range of gear ratios. This contrasts with other transmissions that provide a limited number of gear ratios in fixed steps. The K series uses two pulleys connected by a belt.

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) is a subsidiary of Toyota, based in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines, responsible for the assembly and distribution of Toyota vehicles in the Philippines since 1988. The company was established on August 3, 1988, as a joint venture between Toyota, Mitsui & Co and GT Capital.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Toyota GD engine</span> Reciprocating internal combustion engine

The Toyota GD engine series is a diesel engine produced by Toyota which appeared in 2015. It replaced the Toyota KD engine series as a diesel engine series mainly oriented to body-on-frame vehicles. The GD engine featured Economy with Superior Thermal Efficient Combustion (ESTEC) technology. Toyota claims they have a maximum thermal efficiency of 44 percent, "top class" at the time of introduction.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Toyota New Global Architecture</span> Motor vehicle platform

The Toyota New Global Architecture are modular automobile platforms that underpin various Toyota and Lexus models starting with the fourth-generation Prius in late 2015. TNGA platforms accommodate different vehicle sizes and also front-, rear- and all-wheel drive configurations.

PT Toyota-Astra Motor is an automobile trading company based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is a joint venture company between Toyota Motor Corporation and Astra International with a distribution of shares of 50% and 50% respectively, acting as a sole agent, distributor, and importer of Toyota vehicles. It has been the best-selling car brand in Indonesia every year in a row since 1997.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Toyota Dynamic Force engine</span> Engine series from Toyota

The Dynamic Force engines are a family of internal combustion engines developed by Toyota under the brand's Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) strategy. The engines can be fueled by petrol (gasoline) or ethanol and can be combined with electric motors in a hybrid drivetrain. The engines were developed alongside the TNGA family of vehicle platforms, as part of a company-wide effort to simplify the vehicles being produced by Toyota.

Toyota South Africa Motors (Proprietary) Limited (TSAM) is an automobile manufacturer that is a subsidiary of Toyota based in Prospecton, South Africa.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Toyota Yaris Cross</span> Subcompact crossover SUV

The Toyota Yaris Cross is a nameplate used by the Japanese automaker Toyota for two vehicles in the subcompact crossover SUV category (B-segment). The nameplate first appeared for the crossover SUV counterpart of the XP210 model Yaris based on the Toyota New Global Architecture, which went on sale in August 2020 in Japan and in 2021 in Europe with the model code XP210.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Toyota dealerships (Japan)</span>

Toyota vehicles in Japan are distributed to numerous dealership chains throughout the country. Up to May 2020, each dealership chain had a different product offering, with some models restricted to one chain to maintain exclusivity. Since May 2020, every Toyota model in Japan was available in all dealership chains. Current dealership chains include Toyota Store, Toyopet Store, Toyota Corolla Store and Netz Store.
