LuLu Mall, Kochi is a shopping mall located in Edappally, Kochi, Kerala. It is the second largest mall in Kerala, largest one being Lulu mall at Thiruvananthapuram.
Spanning 17 acres (6.9 ha) with a total built up area of 2485000 Sq ft [2] . It contains around 235 outlets, including food courts, restaurants, family entertainment zones, a multiplex, ice skating rink, gaming arena, beauty parlors, a toy train joy ride and bowling alley. [3] [4] [5] [6] The mall was opened in March 2013 by then Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Oommen Chandy. [7] [8]
The entire project, consisting of the shopping mall with four customized shopping levels and a 5-star hotel, was designed by the UK based architectural firm Atkins. The construction contract of the project was awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji, an Indian conglomerate. The 5-star business hotel located within the campus of the mall is operated by Marriott Hotels & Resorts.
With an average daily footfall of more than 80,000, it is one of the most visited places in Kerala. [9] By 2023, ten years from the opening, LuLu Mall Kochi has been visited by 250 million people and had witnessed the entry of 3 million vehicles. [10] The estimated cost for this project was more than ₹1,600 crore (US$273.05 million). [11] The property is owned and managed by Abu Dhabi based LuLu Group International. The shops and restaurants in LuLu Mall are franchised via Lulu Group’s own retail operations company called Tablez. The head office building of Lulu group in India is located adjacent to the mall and hotel campus.

The Kochi Bypass is a segment of National Highway 66 that bypasses the CBD of the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. The highway stretches 17 km from Edapally in the Ernakulam district to Aroor in Alappuzha district, via Palarivattom, Vyttila, Kundannoor, Madavana and Kumbalam. The Government of Kerala began the preliminary works in 1973. After a slow progress, it was partially opened for traffic in the beginning years of the 1980s. The Kochi New Bypass also known as Angamaly-Kundannoor Bypass is a proposed partially-controlled-greenfield corridor or highway in the Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. The highway will pass through sparsely populated areas avoiding Kochi city completely and is expected to reduce the traffic on the NH 544 and NH 66. It will begin at Karayamparambu on the northern side of Angamaly on NH 544 and end at south of the NH 66 at Kundannoor.
