Ngumbur (Ngomburr) is a supposed extinct Australian Aboriginal language. It has sometimes been assumed to be a dialect of Umbugarla, [2] but it is not attested; the only evidence to go on is that neighboring peoples reported that it was similar to Umbugarla. [3]

Lower Burdekin languages

The Lower Burdekin languages were probably three distinct Australian Aboriginal languages spoken around the mouth of the Burdekin River in north Queensland. One short wordlist in each was collected in the 19th century, and published in the second volume of The Australian Race in 1886. These languages have since gone extinct, with no more having been recorded. Due to the paucity of the available data, we know almost nothing of their grammatical structure.

Takalak is a poorly attested, extinct Australian Aboriginal language of Queensland.

Jurruru is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language formerly spoken in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Its name has also been spelt Chooraroo, Choororoo, Churoro, Djuroro, Djururo, Djurruru, Dyururu, Jururu, Thuraru, Tjororo, Tjuroro, Tjururo, and Tjururu.

Narungga is an Australian Aboriginal language formerly spoken by the Narungga people in Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. As a result of the colonisation of Australia, the Narungga language fell into disuse within several generations. Nevertheless, Narungga continued to be documented into the 20th century, and the 1980s saw a community reclamation. As a result of revival efforts, the language along with Narungga culture is now being taught around the Yorke Peninsula, from Moonta and Maitland Area Schools to Point Pearce.

Mudbura (Mudburra), also known as Pinkangama, is an aboriginal language of Australia.

Pallanganmiddang (Balangamida) is an extinct aboriginal language of the Upper Murray region of the north east of Victoria (Australia).

Yaygir is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language. It was spoken by the Yaygir people in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales.

Durubalic is a small family of extinct Australian Aboriginal languages of Queensland.

Guugu Yalandji (Kuku-Yalanji) is an Australian Aboriginal language of Queensland. It is the traditional language of the Kuku Yalanji people. Despite conflicts between the Kuku Yalanji people and British settlers in Queensland, the Kuku Yalanji language has a healthy number of speakers, and that number is increasing. Though the language is threatened, the language use is vigorous and children are learning it in schools. All generations of speakers have positive language attitudes. The Kuku Yalanji still practice their traditional religion, and they have rich oral traditions. Many people in the Kuku Yalanji community also use English. 100 Kuku Yalanji speakers can both read and write in Kuku Yalanji.

Ngamini is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language of the Pama–Nyungan family once spoken by the Ngamini and related peoples.

Anewan language language

Anaiwan (Anēwan) is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language of New South Wales. Since 2017, there has been a revival program underway to bring the language back.

Kuthant, also rendered Gkuthaarn and Kutanda, is an extinct Paman language of the Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australia.

Barranbinja language language

Barranbinja is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language of New South Wales. Oates (1988) concludes that it was probably a dialect of Muruwari.

Uwinymil is an Australian Aboriginal language spoken of Arnhem Land.
