The 2019 Somerset West and Taunton District Council election took place on 2 May 2019 to elect members of Somerset West and Taunton District Council in Somerset, England. This was the first election since the West Somerset District Council and Taunton Deane merged, with the whole council being up for election.

South Somerset was a local government district in Somerset, England. The district covered an area of 370 square miles (958 km2) ranging from the borders with Devon, Wiltshire and Dorset to the edge of the Somerset Levels. It had a population of approximately 158,000. The administrative centre of the district was Yeovil.
Taunton Deane was a local government district with borough status in Somerset, England. Its council was based in Taunton.
West Somerset was a local government district in the English county of Somerset. The council covered a largely rural area, with a population of 34,900 in an area of 740 square kilometres (290 sq mi); it was the least populous non-unitary district in England. According to figures released by the Office for National Statistics in 2009, the population of West Somerset has the oldest average age in the United Kingdom at 52. The largest centres of population are the coastal towns of Minehead and Watchet (4,400).
Creech St Michael is a village and civil parish in Somerset, three miles east of Taunton in the Somerset West and Taunton district. The parish straddles the M5 motorway and includes several scattered settlements. The village of Creech St Michael and the hamlets of Charlton, Creech Heathfield, and Ham lie east of the motorway. The hamlets of Adsborough, Coombe, Langaller, and Walford lie west of the motorway. The parish has a population of 2,416.
Combe Florey is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of Taunton in the Somerset West and Taunton district, on the West Somerset Railway. The village has a population of 261. The parish includes the hamlet of Eastcombe which is a linear settlement along the A358 Taunton-Wiliton Road.
Ash Priors is a village and parish in Somerset, England, situated 5 miles (8.0 km) north west of Taunton in the Somerset West and Taunton district. The village has a population of 155.
Bathealton is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Wellington and 8 miles (12.9 km) west of Taunton in the Somerset West and Taunton district. The village has a population of 194.
Corfe is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated below the Blackdown Hills 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Taunton in the Somerset West and Taunton district. The village has a population of 253.

Somerset West and Taunton was a local government district in Somerset, England, from 2019 to 2023. It was established on 1 April 2019 by the Somerset West and Taunton Order 2018. The council replaced the Taunton Deane and West Somerset councils, which governed the same area from 1974.
