The reservation is located on Coolidge Point, a peninsula once owned by—and named for—the Coolidge family. The reservation property includes the former site of the Coolidge's "Marble Palace", a Georgian-style mansion designed in 1902 by Charles McKim for T. Jefferson Coolidge, who was a great-grandson of Thomas Jefferson. [1] Although the mansion was demolished in 1958, [2] the home's grounds are preserved as the "Ocean Lawn". [3]
42 acres of land was donated to The Trustees by the Coolidge family in 1990 and 1991. [1] The reservation was established in 1992. [3]
The Stevens–Coolidge House and Gardens, formerly known as Ashdale Farm, is a garden and historic home located on 91 acres (37 ha) at 153 Chickering Road in North Andover, Massachusetts. Helen Stevens Coolidge's family first acquired the farm in 1729, and from 1914 to 1962 it was her summer home with husband John Gardner Coolidge, diplomat, descendant of Thomas Jefferson, and nephew of Isabella Stewart Gardner. It is now a nonprofit museum operated by The Trustees of Reservations.
Ravenswood Park is a nature reserve in the western section of Gloucester, Massachusetts owned and managed by the Trustees of Reservations, which acquired the property in 1993. It can be accessed from Western Avenue, the road to Manchester through the Magnolia area. Ravenswood Park is frequented by cross-country skiers during the winter.

The 22-mile (35 km) Tully Trail and the 110-mile (180 km) Metacomet-Monadnock Trail, a National Recreation Trail, pass through the property.
The Crane Wildlife Refuge, located in Ipswich and Essex, Massachusetts, is a 674-acre (2.73 km2) property managed by The Trustees of Reservations. Located nearby are the Trustees of Reservations managed Castle Hill and Crane Beach. The refuge was established in 1974.
Jacobs Hill is a 173-acre (70 ha) open space preserve in Royalston, Massachusetts acquired in 1975 by the land conservation non-profit organization The Trustees of Reservations. The preserve includes scenic vistas, ledges, woodlands, a northern bog, and Spirit Falls, a 30 foot (9.1 m) waterfall. The 22-mile (35 km) Tully Trail passes through the property. Views from the ledges include the Berkshires as well as nearby Long Pond and the Tully River Valley, Tully Mountain, and Mount Grace.
Cedariver, formerly known as The Baker Reservation, is a 55-acre (22 ha) open space preserve located on the Charles River in Millis, Massachusetts. The property, acquired in 2004 by the land conservation non-profit organization The Trustees of Reservations, includes farm fields, woodlots, and 1-mile (1.6 km) of river frontage.
Appleton Farms is a park in Ipswich, Massachusetts, owned and maintained by The Trustees of Reservations. The property was deeded to the Trustees in 1998. The land was granted to Samuel Appleton, an immigrant from Little Waldingfield, England, in 1638 by the town of Ipswich and is one of the oldest continuously operating farms in Massachusetts. In 2002, The Trustees of Reservations established a vegetable Community Supported Agriculture Program. Also maintained by the Trustees of Reservations is the adjacent Appleton Farms Grass Rides. The properties include 4 miles (6.4 km) of walking trails.
Stavros Reservation is a nature reserve located in Essex, Massachusetts. The property is owned by The Trustees of Reservations through a 1952 gift and a 1955 purchase. Most of the approximately 50-acre (20 ha) reservation consists of salt marsh. The property encompasses Whites Hill, which includes fine views of the Massachusetts coast, including Crane Beach.

The property consists of three main areas: Pierce Meadow, a landscaped urban park and former estate of Harry W. Pierce; the Doyle Center grounds, buildings, and adjoining woodlots; and a hay field and adjoining wetland.
