Honda Canada Inc. is the Canadian regional subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company. Founded in 1969, Honda has been building cars in Canada since 1986 in Alliston, Ontario and head office in Markham, Ontario.
Motorcycles were the first Honda products sold. It was not until 1973 that cars were sold in Canada. The first car dealership, Honda de Sigi, was opened by German entrepreneur Siegfried Bauer in downtown Montreal followed by a second dealership in Laval.
Honda Canada Inc. supports a network of 237 Honda and 51 Acura authorized automotive dealers in Canada. There are over 600 dealers for Honda motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, snowblowers, lawnmowers and other equipment in Canada. [1] Its financial services arm, Honda Canada Finance Inc. (HCFI), was established in 1987.
The first zone office was established in Montreal, Quebec in 1972, along with a regional office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The Richmond, British Columbia zone office opened in 1984. An advanced technical training centre was opened in Boucherville, Quebec in 1991 with 15,000 square metres of space for the third new Quebec zone office.
Honda Canada Inc. purchased land in Richmond Hill, Ontario with the intent to build a new corporate headquarters there. When infrastructure disagreements with the municipal government could not be resolved, those plans were scrapped. Subsequently, a new facility (designated a LEEDs showcase building) was built in Markham.
In 1986, Honda opened a manufacturing plant in Alliston, Ontario in an effort to build vehicles locally. Since then, Honda opened a second plant in 1998, and an engine plant in 2008.[ citation needed ]

Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) is an automobile factory located in Lincoln, Alabama. It builds light truck Honda vehicles for sale in North America. Production began on November 14, 2001 and was the first Honda factory to both produce engines and assemble vehicles under the same roof. HMA is the sole manufacturer of the Honda Odyssey, Honda Passport, Honda Pilot, and Honda Ridgeline.
The Honda K-series engine is a line of four-cylinder four-stroke car engine introduced in 2001. The K-series engines are equipped with DOHC valvetrains and use roller rockers on the cylinder head to reduce friction. The engines use a coil-on-plug, distributorless ignition system with a coil for each spark plug. This system forgoes the use of a conventional distributor-based ignition timing system in favor of a computer-controlled system that allows the ECU to control ignition timings based on various sensor inputs. The cylinders have cast iron sleeves similar to the B- and F-series engines, as opposed to the FRM cylinders found in the H- and newer F-series engines found only in the Honda S2000.

Advanced Compatibility Engineering or ACE Body Structure is the marketing name given to an automobile body structure design by Honda. It claims to distribute collision energy evenly and redirect it away from the passenger compartment, while at the same time, minimizing damage to other impacted vehicles. This is accomplished by using numerous grades of steel which crumple in key areas and remain rigid in others. It is standard on all Honda and Acura models as of the 2017 model year.
Honda Marysville Auto Plant (MAP) is a Honda manufacturing facility located approximately six miles northwest of Marysville, Ohio, and 42 miles northwest of Columbus, Ohio, near the intersection of US 33 and State Route 739. It is one of the most integrated and flexible auto plants in North America. Operations include stamping, plastics injection molding, welding, painting, sub-assembly and assembly. The assembly plant opened in 1982.
East Liberty Auto Plant is a Honda automobile factory in East Liberty, Ohio, United States. The assembly plant opened in 1989. East Liberty is about 45 minutes northwest of Columbus, Ohio.

Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd was a British automotive manufacturing company, and the United Kingdom-based manufacturing subsidiary of the multinational automotive company Honda. Established in 1985 and headquartered in Swindon, England, HUM operated manufacturing plants that included casting, engine assembly, pressing, welding, painting, and car assembly activities. At the time of its closure in 2021, it employed around 3,400 people at the plants, which occupied a site covering around 370 acres.

Honda Manufacturing of Indiana (HMIN), also called Indiana Auto Plant (IAP), is a car production factory located in Greensburg, Indiana. It builds vehicles for Honda sales in North America. It was founded on March 19, 2007, for the 25th anniversary of the company's own automobile production in the United States. Vehicle production commenced on October 9, 2008, and over two million automobiles have been produced by the plant since that time. Approximately 2,700 people were employed at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana as of 2021.
