This is a list of seasons completed by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Since the team's creation in 1892, the Yellow Jackets have participated in more than 1,300 officially sanctioned games, including 46 bowl games.
The Yellow Jackets have been a member of numerous athletic conferences. In 1894, Tech was a founding member of the now defunct Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association, where it won a national championship in 1917. In 1922, the Yellow Jackets joined the Southern Conference as a founding member, where it won a national championship in 1928. In 1933, Tech joined the Southeastern Conference as a founding member, where it won a national championship in 1952. From 1964 to 1978, the Yellow Jackets competed as an independent. In 1979, Georgia Tech joined the Atlantic Coast Conference, where it has been a member ever since. [1]
Terrence Edwin Roof Jr. is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the UCF Knights. He previously served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at the University of Oklahoma. Roof served as the head football coach at Duke University from 2003 to 2007.
Paul Clayton Johnson is a former American college football coach. He served as the head football coach at Georgia Southern University from 1997 to 2001, the United States Naval Academy from 2002 to 2007, and Georgia Tech, from 2008 to 2018, compiling a career college football coaching record of 189–100. Johnson's Georgia Southern Eagles won consecutive NCAA Division I-AA Football Championships in 1999 and 2000. Noted for his use of the flexbone spread option offense, Johnson was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

The team's coach was George O'Leary, who would leave the school before the bowl game to accept the head coaching job at the University of Notre Dame. George Joseph O'Leary is a former American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 1994 to 2001 and the UCF Knights from 2004 to 2015. He was famously hired in 2001 to be the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but resigned after five days for lying on his resume. O'Leary was an assistant coach for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 2002 to 2004, and an assistant coach for the Syracuse Orange and San Diego Chargers.
Donald Brent Key is an American college football coach and former player. Key is the head football coach at his alma mater, Georgia Tech as of November 2022.
The 2015 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team represented the Georgia Institute of Technology in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Yellow Jackets were led by eighth-year head coach Paul Johnson and played their home games at Bobby Dodd Stadium. They were a member of the Coastal Division in the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 3–9, 1–7 in ACC play to finish in last place in the Coastal Division, losing six games by a margin of just seven points or less. This was the first time since 1996 that the Yellow Jackets finished with a losing record, breaking their streak of 18 consecutive bowl games.

William Geoffrey Collins is an American college football coach and former player. He is currently serving as the defensive coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to the Tar Heels, he was head coach at Georgia Tech from December 7, 2018, to September 25, 2022. He was previously the head coach at Temple University, and had served in the past as defensive coordinator for the University of Florida and Mississippi State University.
